The process for onboarding was amazing. The account manager, implementation specialist, and cyber hero’s have been wonderful. They listened to me and helped get our tenant set up exactly as we need.
Pros
For my environment, the platform works great and is being to secure our endpoints. It does require a lot of work to maintain, but if done properly it is extremely useful.
Cons
It can be extremely technical. Be sure to take the training available in the University.

So far I have enjoyed the product, support and general use. I look forward to protecting our customers beyond what other MSP are offering and do it at a reasonable rate.
Pros
The program is always improving. Response time on support is very good. The program is very thorough.
Cons
Some slowness at times. It can get a bit confusing when you get a bunch of policies that seem to be for the same thing. If your trying to block something or something is being blocked, it may be in a policy you did not know about.

Overall very good and does it job very reliable. No issues with installations or errors. Gets the job done and keep our company safe.
Pros
I liked it ThreatLocker provides strong security when you install applications while being easy to use. The application whitelisting feature is great because it lets our company control which programs can run on our, which helps us to reduce the risk of malware.
ThreatLocker combines solid security with with a simple interface, making it a great tool for keeping our computers safe.
Cons
Sometimes program installation take multiple requests in order to install. Especially when they use Command Line or scripts (e.g. Xampp). You have to wait for approval everytime which can delay the process of using that software.

Threatlocker has been a great addition to our security stack, and we recommend it to anyone reading this review. Rarely do we find a vendor who works with us to get the best out of their product more than Threatlocker. We are huge fans.
Pros
ThreatLocker's default-deny approach effectively locks down our environment by proactively protecting our endpoints. Every two weeks, our reps meet with us, offering insights and assistance that make them feel like an extension of our team. Due to ThreatLocker's protection, we don't require additional MDR or XDR solutions, making it an efficient and effective way to keep our organization secure.
Cons
It's true that ThreatLocker requires a bit of a learning curve to become proficient with it, however, it's certainly not an insurmountable hurdle and it's definitely worth taking the time to become familiar with the platform. Our TL reps are always available for any questions or assistance we need, and they always go the extra mile to ensure we understand the platform.

Love ThreatLocker
Reviewed on 2024/06/06
Pros
The ThreatLocker platform covers so many needs and they're constantly adding to it. Also, the team is amazing. I've never had an issue that wasn't resolved quickly and I'm always connected with someone that knows what they're doing. For cybersecurity, ThreatLocker is one of our frontline defenses keeping out ransomware and other malware.
Cons
If you're using the allow listing, ThreatLocker can get pretty noisy and require a lot of maintenance. If your users aren't opening a lot of random software after the learning period, you'll be fine. ThreatLocker has a lot of power but you better know what you're doing with it to use that power.

The help desk is fantastically responsive and professional. They always resolve the issue right away.
Pros
True zero trust access control. Fine-grained application, user, device, network port, and internet default deny.
Cons
I don’t like that the culture of system administrators is averse to this approach. You really have to teach them to accept the little friction that comes from needing to make a request before installing or updating any software.

We're very new with the product, but so far it has everything I look for in that it is easy to deploy and manage and having Cyber Hero there to approve application requests means our staff doesn't have to take time away from other tasks to review those.
Pros
The interface is intuitive. I like the granularity of control over what we can allow deny. Deployment is easy with our RMM. Once I got the hang of it the management of it is very straight forward. Cyber Hero support is very responsive and helpful. Onboarding with Richard Dowdy has been great. He's been patient as we learn the product and explains things very clearly.
Cons
I suppose the initial learning curve. Although, it was not a big deal as we worked through it with Richard.

The level of support provided by both our solutions engineer and account manager has been excellent. [sensitive content hidden]
in particular has been extremely helpful with our initial deployment queries. At the start we did bounce around a few different account managers, presumably due to restructuring, but once we went live this stopped and [sensitive content hidden]
has been excellent since then.
Pros
ThreatLocker was easy to implement and deloy to our (AAD/Intune) environment, and has thus far been easy to manage. Compared to our previous access control solution, TL is leagues ahead in terms of flexibility and simplicity. Due to TL's not-for-profit pricing, it also coss less than competitor's solution. Our support and account management team have been extremely helpful, answering all queries that we've had. [sensitive content hidden]
in particular has shown exceptional knowledge of the platform and has always been able to provide a solution when asked. Regular updates bring new product features and QoL improvements.
Cons
Platform limitations around use of batch and python scripts, though understandable, have been the main source of contention internally since deployment. The mobile app could also do with additional features to match that of the web portal, though I understand this is planned for future updates.

Our team enjoyed the onboarding process as discussion was very interactive and time effective. The process was organized to maximize knowledge transfer, minimize user disruption and maximize security profile.
Pros
The software is powerful but like all security tools questions surface that require rapid vendor clarification or direction and the Threatlocker's "Cyber Hero" support the solution is taken to much a higher level - most issues are reviewed and resolved by the Threatlocker support team while the questionable ones related to how our company wants to proceed are forwarded with the data needed for us to make quick security decisions. End result: a high security profile with minimal user frustration - very unusual these days.
Cons
Like all security packages you need to understand how the software works to get the proper results.

Easy to Implement Zero Trust Platform
Reviewed on 2023/08/30
Pros
The best thing about ThreatLocker is the ease of deployment and the support. The tool sits in learning mode, gathering data on what applications are running in your environment. Once you and your team are ready, you can place devices into secure mode, which prevents applications other than those determined in the learning process. They also have over 1,000 built-in applications that their team keeps updated, which helps with the ease of deployment.
Cons
In the beginning, getting used to seeing all of the different files and applications that users are running can be a bit overwhelming. However, as you utilize the tool and work with their team, you will quickly learn how to use this data to create rules effectively.

The product training and onboarding is exceptional. ThreatLocker goes the extra mile to be sure you understand the product and are deploying it successfully. The software works. It will stop anything and everything that either isn't allowed to run or it doesn't recognize.
Pros
There isn't anything about ThreatLocker I don't like. From the Ring Fencing to Allow Listing to Elevation control, it keeps users from doing things they shouldn't be while allowing what you need to run, run. I sleep at night knowing that some random software can't run on a client environment and cause an incident.
Cons
Threatlocker is not a set it and forget it product. They can however use their internal CyberHero's to make it easier for you. It's just an extra cost.
