Overall I love the software. Our K-6 ELA teachers use it daily in the classroom as their main ELA resource. The students love that they can log in and complete assignements assigned to them by their teacher.
Pros
I love that McGraw-Hill Connect made it easy for teachers to add the product license themselves for the teacher book and the student book. Teachers are also able to setup their own account.
Cons
i can say the only thing I don’t like about McGraw-Hill Connect software is the process for uploading students into the program. You have to use a excel template to type certain login credentials for each student. This process is okay on the front in of setting up your student accounts but we get several new students a month and it would be easier to just type those few students information directly into the program instead of completing the excel template and then waiting for it to upload.

Fantastic resource with a lot of hidden gems.
Reviewed on 2019/08/25
Pros
Overall, it is a highly valuable resource for both students and instructors alike. It allows users to have remote access to the text that is used in the classroom if they are not able to access a copy of the textbook. There are also multimedia resources and quizzes available for some texts/resources. I loved using this in some of my university courses.
Cons
It can be a little challenging to navigate as a new user. I also think that a lot of instructors are unaware of the full resources that are available to their students. Some of the resources can seem a little “hidden” at first but once you’ve used it a couple of times you can unlock its full potential.

Incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. This service was not made for someone with a full-time job.
Pros
There are no pros. This is a bad service and I feel sorry for any student forced to use this service.
Cons
You have to purchase the material, and then pay a download fee to actually receive your material. McGraw Hill Connect states they have made it easier to learn....all they did was copy the questions so a user has to answer them twice. Terrible customer service that offers no resolutions. I feel that this is an incredibly lazy service for a university to use. Outsourcing work to a third party that truly does not care about educating the students forced to use this service.

Overall, different curricula is accessible through McGraw-Hill and allows teacher to access all the manipulatives that come with it.
Pros
I appreciate that on the McGraw Hill app, teachers are able to see all the different curricula on the website or app.
Cons
I wish that the curricula were scripted more. This would be beneficial for teachers that are beginning their career or implementing a new curriculum.

I have loved using McGraw-Hill Connect as a college student, and always appreciate when my professors make use of this intuitive, seamless platform!
Pros
What I personally enjoy about using McGraw-Hill Connect as a college student is the platform's ability to put all of my key components for a course all in one place, allowing me to access eBooks, homework, assignments, and other items with ease. The sleek and simple design is extremely easy to navigate and ensures I do not waste time trying to pull together all my supplies for a certain course.
Cons
What I like least about McGraw-Hill Connect is the platform's inability to allow students to easily and intuitively connect with one another.

I usage both McGraw Hill's textbooks and e-learning materials in teaching Developmental English. McGraw Hill's books are an invaluable resource that is a staple in my learning tools.
Pros
I like the ease of usage, instructional practices, and the overall comprehension that McGraw Hill's textbooks and e-learning books benefit both students as well as instructors.
Cons
The results I receive from my students are clear indicators that this software works as their test results reflect such. Therefore, I cannot find any negatives to associate with usage of this product.

Overall, it was good and I would recommend it to others.
Pros
I liked how there were many electronic copy resources online. Being a special education teacher, we don't always get access to the general ed curriculum but are still expected to assist students with the general education materials. This allows us to have access to the curriculum.
Cons
It takes a lot of time to figure out how to use/access materials. There are a lot of resources and it would be easier if it were organized differently. I had a difficult time finding the interventions in the beginning.

We love the physical product we have purchased for science, socials studies, and reading through McGraw Hill. The sales representatives are always positive and helpful. But once you purchase these products, getting the online portion(s) to work and show the correct number of seats is usually a headache.
Pros
It allows teachers to access their instructional resources online and allows students to receive online instruction aligned with our McGraw Hill products.
Cons
Initially setting up online access to McGraw Hill products is always somewhat problematic. For instance, you may purchase "x" amount of student and teacher seats to access a particular program, but then those seats won't show up online until you create a ticket with McGraw Hill support and they fix it. Last school year, it took 7 calls, hours on hold with McGraw Hill, and 2 months for one of our 5th-grade teachers to access their Wonders Reading curriculum online.

Used for a biology class, generally good results
Reviewed on 2019/07/24
Pros
I used this software for a biology class and it was connected to the textbook that I was using. I really liked that because then it made sure that what I was reading was directly helping me apply the concepts to the homework assignments. It was also easy to navigate and didn't crash at all, which was a relief because academic work can have so much pressure, despite the unforgiving technological difficulties. There were also tools to help you figure out where you could find some certain information in the text, hints, etc, and by giving me more than one attempt as well as the resources I needed to get the question right, I had much higher rates of success and of retaining the information.
Cons
I felt like at times the voiceover in the beginning could be very redundant and unhelpful (borderline annoying) because the software is so self-explanatory.

This is a poor experience, and I find it very distracting from learning.
Pros
Having the entire textbook, and searching available online.
Cons
Very clunky interface. In the first few weeks, I've found that: the Smart Book assignments force students to interact with INCORRECT answers to uncheck them. Not only does this increase the rate of error, but if students answer them like every other test, they will get all the 'incorrect' ones wrong, because they don't select them. The software also (for accounting) presents cumulative problems that build on eachother. However, when you complete one problem, the software fails to show your answers that help you solve the next problem. So the student either has to screenshot the previous problem or go back and forth. This is true for multiple problem sets.

This is an overall disaster. I have never seen such a failure learning as a service. I will retain next to none of the information, almost guaranteed. I'm left with utter contempt for this software as it almost feels malicious how it holds the user hostage.
Pros
It is visually appealing. That is the extent of any positive aspect
Cons
Everything else. The testing/quizzes practically holds the user hostage for hundreds of repeat questions. The reading/knowledgebase is a mixture of conjecture, ambiguity and specifics making discerning an answer or forming a conclusion exceptionally hit/miss. The best bet to save time is to write down the incorrect answers and use them to proceed.

Top notch study material
Reviewed on 2021/05/04
Pros
This software is probably the best study material to use for a classroom setting. I’m able to have to etext on an app on my phone as well as being able to access it from my desktop. Another thing I liked is the explanations that were given for each problem rather than just the answers being given.
Cons
One thing that could be improved is when you click to see the report of a completed assignment it would be simpler if it took you straight to that specific report but instead it takes you a list of all the reports and then you have to find the specific report you want.

Student performance has gone up because they are able to access material and resources while not in the classroom. McGraw-Hill has a plethora of resources available for teachers and students for every subject offered.
Pros
Teachers are able to customize quizzes and assignments to fit what is needed for their particular group of students and class. Students have study tools and interactive modules to help understand material more fluently. Teachers can view reports so they can alter their teaching style and approach.
Cons
McGraw-Hill could use some updating to the appearance of the interface. It looks like it hasn't been changed. There is difficulty with connecting it as a third-party application. There is not a clear or simple way for students to communicate with their professor within McGraw-Hill. There needs to be better and more accessible versions such as for mobile devices to encourage use-on-the-go.

In a time where access to digital materials is a must-have, Connect does the job - but doesn't go above and beyond.
Pros
As a teacher, I like that I can transform my classroom with the digital textbooks as resources available in Connect that accompany my print materials. Our school has setup automatic class rostering so it is great that I do not need to manage student user accounts or set up classrooms and add students. However, compared to some of its publisher competitors that I also utilize, it is way behind the curve in terms of function and UI.
Cons
The user-interface within Connect (both from a teacher and student user) could use some major upgrades. It seems that very little resources are put into the system and/or they are not utilizing user feedback to improve the product.

Garbage. I don't see any reason this software could not be directly provided by my university unless McGraw-Hill is refusing to do a bundle deal for the college. This forces us to buy individual packages which I'm sure doesn't hurt their bottom line.
Pros
It'd be great if it wasn't additionally price gouging student who are already paying thousands for an education.
Cons
The fact that I'm already buying textbooks, materials, and paying for classes, why is my university providing this?

I understand the draw of online homework because it provides a common way for educators to assign problems and simplify grading. I have used it for a few different courses over the years but, as a college student, remain frustrated with the data entry. After using multiple similar softwares, it seems about middle of the pack -- I remain neither impressed nor overly disappointed.
Pros
My favorite feature was the homework walkthrough -- when enabled, it would give a simplified version of the problem and point out the steps to finish it. Then, I could adapt the method to finish my assigned problems. It was useful, like an automated online tutor.
Cons
The data entry is finicky and can be frustrating. Depending on the exact answer entered, I may receive points off because of rounding or significant figure errors. I also have had trouble with graphing features, when I miss credit on a graph because I do not place a line or curve at the exact right coordinates. Because of these, I waste time and frustration on formatting while my learning is not increased.

Overall I think it helps me understand the material better and I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons!
Pros
This software has been used for many of my college courses and it has definitely helped me understand the material from the textbook better than if I were to be reading it on my own. Having the textbook be interactive, with important sections highlighted and questions being asked along the way, forces me to pay more attention and think critically about what I am reading. It also helped make my reading more efficient, because I was aware of what the most important sections were when I was being quizzed.
Cons
Sometimes if I just wanted to read the textbook without having the quizzes, or just read at my own pace, little reminders about how I had been reading for awhile and not looked at any of the questions yet could get very annoying. The software is great when you want to be using it but if you are trying to avoid it, it doesn't like not being used.

I have used the MyMath program for close to ten years. I would like to see more review embedded. I do not like the way they have multiplication in 3rd grade crammed into 4-5 chapters and not really spread out as it needs to be for mastery.
Pros
I like that students and I both have digital access to the text. In addition we have access to games and homework sheets.
Cons
