Bordio: the simple solution that transformed our team's efficiency

Reviewed on 2024/06/28

We are a small team, and before we started using a task management system, we used WhatsApp/Trello to assign tasks to each other. However, as our team grew, it turned into complete chaos. We were overwhelmed with an enormous number of chats, information got lost, and it was difficult to track who didn't complete a task when needed.

Our work efficiency increased, team communication sped up, and Bordio's clear interface made it easy to plan sprints. Most importantly, we can now always check the work history.

Pros

A huge advantage for us is the convenience and minimalism of the interface. Our team consists of many young people who are used to simplicity, and when we tried to implement other solutions (we tried OrangeScrum, Odoo, Trello, Jira), they were almost always met with resistance because they were complex and inconvenient.

Cons

We love Bordio, but there's one small feature we'd appreciate: the ability to move multiple tasks at once. Currently, rescheduling tasks individually can be time-consuming when projects get complex.

Despite this minor inconvenience, we're impressed with how responsive the Bordio team has been to user feedback, and we're excited to see how the platform continues to evolve to meet users' needs.

Increased my efficiency and reduced my work stress

I use Bordio for work every day and have recommended it to several colleagues. I used to use Microsoft To-Do and honestly found it to be such a nightmare to work with. It was overwhelming to see all my tasks in one spot and not be able to see them in a calendar view. Bordio has made me much more efficient. Rather than being overwhelmed by email requests and having to remember my tasks by looking back through my emails, as soon as I get an email with a task I need to do, I quickly jot it down in Bordio. It has removed a lot of mental stress from my work.

Pros

I love that the interface is intuitive and user-friendly. It's easy to drag and organize my tasks and visually compartmentalize everything. I love the calendar view for getting an easy visual of my day and week. It helps me to not feel overwhelmed when I can see my tasks spread out and scheduled over multiple days.

Cons

I wish that rather than booking a time block for tasks I could instead set a start and end time like an event, but still be able to mark it complete like a task. This would really help me organize my time better.

Before Bordio, we used another PM software and it was daunting. The idea was that everyone should be updating their own tasks, moving the task cards around as they progress, and consistently giving feedback. But it wasn’t the case. it felt like I was the only one using the tool. So it’s useful. That’s when I tried to find a much simpler one, luckily I found Bordio.
Bordio is similar to a physical board with sticky notes. It’s as basic as that so we get the things done now without me chasing my members for updates and reports. I highly recommend Bordio!

Pros

Bordio has enough features everyone can use with minimal tutorials.

Cons

In fact, the application tires me, but I would like more colors.

Bordio does what a project management tool is supposed to do but better. I mean there’s no perfect project management software, and it depends on the purpose of using. But Bordio is almost perfect because it has a simple interface but with effective features. I’ve never seen a single-board view from others because they’re usually complicated to use.
As an appointment setter, I can maximize Bordio’s calendar to set schedules for our clinic by creating a task card. Not only that, but Bordio has a Google Integration so I can send an invitation to the client just by scheduling it within Bordio.

Pros

What I like about using Bordio is its simplicity, which is very important to me. The application also has different options for presenting the calendar view and everything can be seen on one board.

Cons

I would like to add a background or color for each month, it would be much more convenient for me to have this feature when I scroll through the month.

It’s the only one that stuck to my whole team. Bordio is user-friendly, so my whole crew became so easily adapted to it. It’s an effective tool with a simple enough interface that looks like an office board. And it’s a negative thing because it makes our daily operations easy to follow. Bordio’s features are more than enough for us to stay consistent with the service and work we do at the hotel. I can’t think of any other apps that helped us on this level.

Pros

You can get so much just even just for the free version. But, with the paid version, it has become a more powerful tool to do exactly what we want!

Cons

I can’t think of anything major aside from a dark mode option.

You can play around the task cards and put much information and files you need to explain it. It is good because you can include everything your member has to know for the specific task. It’s pretty basic to understand, so you just to open the task card, see the details of the task, the deadline, and you can start working right away. There’s also chat box on the right side which is insanely helpful because it’s real-time! It’s like I’m using Telegram but built-in in Bordio.

Pros

I think Bordio is very underrated. I didn't find it through ads, but it showed up when I searched for a simple project management tool. I am leading an editing team of 5, and I want a tool where we can put all our inputs in one place so that I can have access to all of them. We used to have Google Drive to save all our documents, but I think it's less hassle if everything is in one platform including our communication.
Not only that we can save up our files, but we can also exchange messages within the task card itself. Also, the notes section is helpful if we want to include some remarks and notes to a task.

Pros

All of features are helpful in making our editing process better and faster.

Didn’t think a simple PM tool like Bordio can make our collaboration and brainstorming efforts more effective. We can easily exchange ideas within the app using the real-time chatbox. There’s no need to hop on a quick meeting just to get feedback or suggestions. All we need to do is use the real-time chat. Also, uploading design files is possible so we can discuss our designs from scratch to its final and completed form.

Pros

Bordio has enough and easy-to-understand features that allow us to brainstorm new design ideas for different projects.

Cons

Sometimes, I need like a brush tool within the notes page. It’d be great to have that, so I can easily draw the design idea or concept I have in mind.
