I've been using a MacBook for many years and doing all my video editing on Imovie. It was pretty simple and useful for me. Then I changed my computer and now I'm using Windows. I couldn't find an alternative for Imovie for Windows. I was so happy when I met Clipchamp that it provided me with more than even Imovie. Moreover, you can even use it from the browser and it has a very accessible interface! I tried a lot of tools until I met Clipchamp, but none of them was this easy, efficient or cost-effective. Good luck Clipchamp!
Pros
Clipchamp really saved my life. I have video editing works that are very simple but not amateurish. Especially for how-to videos of our product, I take a lot of screen recording, speed up videos, and trim or merge them. These are simple operations, but many products on the market add watermarks to your videos even for these operations. I am pleased with Clipchamp's free plan. It meets everything I need!
Cons
I am using the free plan and I am very satisfied, I do not have any negative comments. It would be nice to display all the videos in a better and more organized way just on your dashboard. This way is a little complicated. But it's okay, it's worth it.

Overall, it is a great and easy experience. I use Clipchamp mainly to make quick videos so I do not have to download an actual application.
Pros
What I like most about the software is the dark theme and the overall design that Clipchamp provides (only within the editor). Personally, I felt productive at the beginning and many of the expected behaviour turned out to be what I expected. For example, the "add video field" seems like it is a drag and drop box, and it really is, which really gave me a good experience, first impression and good start to the project that I am working on.
The second thing I really like is the easy navigation on the left panel. With the texts and icons, it's a clear indicator to navigate through places. On top of that, the star icon clearly indicates that you can only use this if you have paid premium.
Cons
There's nothing much to dislike about the software. However, one thing is that Clipchamp only offers up to 480p for free users and the other day I looked up alternatives such as Kapwig, a very similar concept, they allow free videos to render up to 720p. But I totally understand that but it could be a better marketing strategy to gain more users with 720p and then slowly ramp that up. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure that are ways to measure success for it.
Also, one thing is that I realise the render speed for Kapwig is a lot faster compared to clipchamp. However, that was a month ago and Clipchamp might have software updates to improve this.

iMovieReasons for Choosing Clipchamp
As mentioned above, quick, easy and less complex.Reasons for Switching to Clipchamp
There were some templates that clipchamp offers that they don't have. To be really honest, I find Kapwig a lot more user friendly and the experience was smoother. I couldn't explain why, maybe psychology, their theme feels more like "kids-play" hence easier to use? Sorry if my feedback given wasn't too constructive. Climpchamp has been a wonderful discovery for me and my team. It offers really great features, is absolutely easy to learn and doesn't require much teaching. The user interface is also neatly designed for optimal user experience. We have loved using Clipchamp greatly.
Pros
The most useful characteristic of Clipchamp is how easy it is to learn and use. Being accessible online also means that I get to carry my work along with me everywhere I go, and not worry about files taking up local storage space on multiple devices.
Cons
A few more effects for scene transitioning and more options for background music would be really great additions.

Video editing of the future

Pros
Software like this convinces me that the future of video editing is in the cloud. Clipchamp brings the traditional non-linear video editing timeline into a space that can be easily accessed from any computer, regardless of specifications or operating system. The possibilities here are immense, in terms of accessibility, processing power and collaboration.
Cons
There are still many features to be added to this cloud editing ecosystem that have been present in offline editors (Premiere, Avid, Vegas) for years. These things should come with time.

Overall Clipchamp has been my go-to for video editing for the past few months and I believe it will be the same for the following months to come as well. The software is not slow comparing to online-video software and is even easier to use!
Pros
What I like the most about Clipchamp is that it's fast to use. The problem with online video-editing tools is that they're always slow so I always come back to Adobe Premiere Pro. Not this time thanks to Clipchamp, this software is a gem.
Cons
1 thing that I don't like is the impossibility to change the color of the image background that they offer as templates. Other than that, it's perfect for me.

Overall, Clipchamp has been very useful to me, and I like it very much, because since the first time I opened the app, I knew how to use it due to its interface (it’s easy to use). I love that it has a lot of tools for decorating your videos, like filters, texts,
Pros
I liked everything about Clipchamp. Is one of the best editing apps I’ve tried, because it has so much tools for creating indredible videos, and one of the most important things, is easy to use. The interface has tools that are very easy to recognize, which is what makes it more bearable for everyone, even those who have never edited!
Cons
The only thing that I didn’t like that much, is that even paying the Microsoft license, you have to pay for another “VIP” tools at the app, and I don’t think that’s much fair. But you can easily use the app paying the Microsoft license which includes other platforms like Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, etc.

bad customer service. slow editing speeds. unreliable save feature. I work for a large financial institution, and we lost hours of work put into an entire project because of Clipchamp's unreliable backup feature. I wasn't having any technical difficulties and there were no network problems with the wifi I was using. I even went the extra mile of starting an export just to make sure it saved. The next day I come back and half the work I did is gone. There is no manual save button so you are basically at their mercy if the site or app has a technical difficulty and decides for whatever reason not to save your progress. All of that could have been avoided with the option of a manual save button. To make matters worse, apparently they pick and choose which users to offer the chat feature to. I wasn't having any problems nor was I notified of any problems or violations with the account when Clipchamp suddenly took chat support away from our paid business account. Tested this by logging out then logging into a separate free account, and suddenly chat was available. Not only that, but when I reached out to support via email, they followed up with a generic initial email about looking into the technical issues we were having, then I never heard from them again even after several follow-ups. Clipchamp just has overall bad customer service and is not worth the troouble and risk of unstable performance. My advice? Invest in the dozens of other easy to use softwares out there

A Basic Video Editing tool

Overall, great basic video editing tool. Good at handling short video formats but you may have trouble editing longer projects. Greatly recommend to people needing a video editing tool that can run on most computers (especially Chromebooks)but don't recommend for professionals looking for features that allow for minute control over the video or animations etc.
Pros
As a browser video editing tool being able to edit videos with basic effects and overlays is great excellent for short projects with little editing needed or for home projects. It is fairly intuitive to use but does require a good Wi-Fi connection to make the best use out of it. The timeline was easy to scrub through and from my experience computer hardware was not an issue at all (I could run it on a basic laptop pretty easily). With that in mind, this may be a useful tool for people using Chromebooks.
Cons
Being a subscription model software, I would not recommend it to anyone who will not be using it regularly. In terms of cost, it is a lot cheaper than other video editing tools if you don't account for the recurring subscription costs. If you are using it for one or two projects, subscription cancellation is fairly easy so subscribing for one or two months is not an issue. A major downside to this service/software is that it is entirely online so you need to upload all the assets you need and there is no offline editing capabilities. There is also limited features. Don't expect this to have the same functionality as something like premier pro. It features are quite basic.

Pros
I love how easy this is to use. You can grab videos directly off your phone too, which is extremely easy to do and super helpful considering that most of the videos I take are with my phone. Great templates and fonts too, and it makes our videos look great!
Cons
Sometimes I need to add audio separately to video and marrying the audio and video together tends to be a bit painful as you can't zoom in and move the audio file as smoothly as I'd like, to match the video with ease. Hope that made sense.
I also wish there was a mobile app that we could use too!

I've been using both Clipchamp on my desktop and another app suited to Android mobile devices to explore how they work; very similar. Of the two Clipchamp is great value for money. Am using this app to meet industry demands which now require all performers/entertainers provide a brief visual of their works. I don't foresee I will be using Clipchamp on a regular basis, more likely once or twice a year just to update or add fresh content for our small group. On the other hand would certainly come in handy on a personal level in sharing video/pics with family and friends.

I am a graphic designer and I make posters for my clients, some times they ask me for animated versions to use in their social media pages, but for those to be profitable I need to have a fast turnaround with minimal times spent on creating that video.
Here is where I found out about Clipchamp, I export 4-5 elements from my poster design and the poster itself and with a bit of clever usage of transitions I animate them to make something nice but fast.
And here comes the problem, there are not much you can do with your elements, let's say you import a static png, you know what would be very cool?
To animate it, in a simple way like making it move from place A to B! Pretty simple right? I mean you do simple animation like this even in power point presentations.
But here this functionality doesn't exist and it is sad, because the only way to move elements around is by doing some workaround with transition from a blank image to your image and hope it covers the movement you want to make.
In general there could be a lot more tools that could make it great without making it difficult. I don't expect Resolve, but come one... look at CapCut, this is how you do it right.
Pros
Easy to create simple reels or stories or simple videos without much fanfare.
Cons
It leaves a lot to be desired, even for a simple video app.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Clipchamp. I would like to highlight that I mostly need basic editing features like trimming, cropping and rotating and occasionally use advanced features like audio separation.
Pros
I am highly impressed with easy ClipChamp's uncomplicated navigation and easy to use video editing capabilities. Along with the common features like cropping, trimming, rotating, and splitting clips Clipchamp also empowers me with some fairly advanced options like separating video and audio or speech to text. As a person with some speech disorders I highly admire the coaching option that offers feedback on my presentation skills and helps me to find areas where I need to improve.
Cons
The color resolution feature needs some improvement to help creators offer an impressive visual experience to the viewers regardless of screen size. Also, the processing speed can be improved further.

Overall, Clipchamp remains my go-to tool because it makes my work so much easier.
Pros
I've been using Climpchap for over 5 years now, and it has consistently been functional and user-friendly.
I use it for screen recording, audio, and camera capture, and the templates are incredibly useful and practical.
I have the free version, and all the features are easy to use and of excellent quality. The download options even go up to 1080p HD.
I've seen the platform evolve and improve every day. The first time I used it was at work to add subtitles to some brand videos, and since then, I discovered it was much more than just adding titles. It's about trimming, merging, editing, and creating high-quality videos.
For example, all my courses and promotional videos have been designed with Climpchap—if that isn't amazing!
Sometimes I try other applications, but then I remember how easy my life is with Climpchap and continue using it. So far, I haven't needed to use any other apps.
Cons
One important consideration for those just starting with this platform is that to ensure optimal performance, your computer should have good storage capacity. While this hasn't been an issue with my current setup, it's definitely something to keep in mind.
