Was looking for an alternative to PayPal and found TAB. The customer service has been great since the very first day helping understanding the system, faster. Payments to our bank and refunds to our customers are impeccable. Very reliable. It's all we ask when using a software like this.
Pros
Easy to use and reliable . Quick answers to all the questions when we first start using it. All our employees find it also easy to use and help us to keep track of payments in a very easy way.
Cons

In my opinion, the company is a total failure. He's been writing ads to us for almost 2 years. We were undecided because we saw a lot of bad opinions about their service, mainly about technical issues during use. Once we decided to try to set up an account, attaching documents to them, we immediately got a negative answer that they cannot provide us with the service. It seems that they didn't even bother to check our company well. In the e-mail they wrote, they expected us to have at least 100 comments, but meanwhile we have many more opinions on various portals and on our website over 1000. The company has been operating on the market for 16 years and some specialist concluded that we are new to the market. Congratulations on your brilliant analysis. It's better to stay away from such companies because then there will be more problems.

Pros
Its an excellent solution for making the whole payment experience for the guests in the hotel a much easier one. And the customer service they offer is a professional and efficient one. Incredible service for any questions or problems you could have.

Uncomfortable. Firstly, the sales and set-up team are extremely pushy. They will not activate your account UNLESS you jump on a call with them. Secondly, it looks like Tab as a SaaS decides whether you can use its services or not (even once you've already set up your account and are a user). They feel the freedom to block your account if they no longer want you on the platform as they choose whether YOU are a match for THEM. Extremely strange to me, working in SaaS businesses, I was utterly confused.
Pros
You can process payments for upcoming guests managed through booking websites like booking.com.
Cons
They charge the owner of the Tab account AND the user paying a fee. This means that if you really need to process payments through their software, you have to reach out to your client and explain that on top of the price they are paying for your services, they now have to pay a processing fee. Alternatively, you can bear the costs and then have to calculate how much you have to charge for them to pay the agreed-upon amount after the Tab fee.
You are unable to process payments from past guests or no-shows.

Pros
TAB was very easy to install on my tablet and my phone. The provider's support was very helpful from the beginning. It is very user-friendly, so my employees, with no previous technical knowledge, were able to learn how to use it with no problems. The cost of accepting credit cards in Ecuador is very high, so this low-cost service was the best option for us! In addition, there are no hidden costs and No hassles with the banks. The customers love the selfie feature!
Cons
There is nothing I do not like about TAB! This software has met all our expectations. We haven't had any complaints from customers.

TAB charge both the guest and the hotel a fee. They add their guest fee to the total they charge...
TAB charge both the guest and the hotel a fee. They add their guest fee to the total they charge the credit card on your behalf. Your guests will think that YOU are overcharging them as the amount that appears on their credit card statement is significantly higher than what they paid via the OTA. This caused us untold issues with complaints, loss of client confidence and credibility.
We asked TAB that they should at least separate their fee from the hotel cost. Charging a fee to use a credit card is considered unethical and even illegal. However, that is TAB standard policy. Beware!
Also, during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, TAB withheld checked in payments. Those were, payments for stays that fell within our standard no money back T&Cs.
Part of our survival strategy was to offer such guests a credit for future use or a direct refund when our cashflow rights itself or help with insurance claims. All of our guests had been informed of that fact. Most were happy to accept and some had to accept that we would refund later if they didn't have insurance.
However, TAB insisted that all these guests complete a form agreeing to the future credit or new dates. As a result, income that we were depending on to pay our employees, was lost, as many saw this as the opportunity to get an immediate refund, which of course we then had to honor. This undermined our efforts to ensure a fair and balanced resolution and caused unnecessary suffering to our employees. Be very aware!
Pros
Simple, modern design and easy to use. Immature service.
Cons
TAB charge your guest a fee on top of your price and so the figure that appears on their credit card statement is inflated. It appears to your guest that YOU are overcharging them. Get ready for complaints!
TAB hold payments when it suits them and interfere with, and override, hotel T&Cs. You will not have complete control over your finances. See comments below.

The biggest advantage for me having a business in a third world country is the economic benefit of not having to use very expensive credit card machines.
Also the fact that I can accept a wide range of cards.
Pros
It's on my phone and I can charge people wherever they are on my premises without having to go to a specific location to use a machine.
I also like that people always smile when the moment comes to take a selfie instead of a signature. Everyone always recognizes that that is a more secure point in using their credit cards.
Cons
I can't think of anything really. My experience has been really good.

Pros
We are able to offer card payments to our customers even though we are located in a remote area with no access to phone lines. The fees are reasonable, and the system has worked perfectly for us in the last 3 years we have used it daily. Their customer support is superb, always very responsive, polite and gets it done.
Cons
Nothing really. As long as you let the customer know in advance they are going to be charged for the transaction (which is not the usual with CC transactions made with conventional card readers) we haven't had any issues of any kind.

It has work in a very positive way for my business, I am able to take advanced payments which our local bank´sPOS never allowed us to do, it is very convinient as we charge most of our reservations in advance and it also allow us to refund money without chage for customers that are not happy paying the tab fee.
Pros
I really find it easy to be able to use it from my phone, it allows me make transactions from outside my work place and not have to delegate someone else to do it for me.
Cons
Some customers complain about the fee they are charged by tab, some of them consider it to be too expensive and preffer to take cash out of the ATM.

Your Staff know it: it is not still available to charge reservations coming from our own website (with SiteMinder) which are the 50% of our on-line reservations.
It was said, after 3 months of Tab use, it will be available ... and this is something I accept, even if I cannot understand (trust from OTAs, should be an example)
