I use Word on a daily basis to verify documents. I use track changes, the option which really saves my time and makes my work easier. I highly recommend the app!
Pros
Modern versions of Microsoft Word are simply amazing. They feel light and clean. There is a plethora of options and functions neatly organised and easily accessible.
there are a lot of resources to browse when you need help.
Cons
I do not really like Microsoft support system. Whenever you speak to the agents they always tell you the same thing, sometimes completely irrelevant and it is much easier to find support on your own online.

Microsoft Word: A Perspective on Collaboration and Ease of Use

Overall, Microsoft Word is my preferred word-processing platform and has expedited my ability to collaborate with teammates, especially in governance-related matters.
Pros
I like the revised features of Microsoft Word and its ability to be my central word-processing platform. The inclusion of Microsoft Word in the Office 365 space, adds a layer of collaboration and automation.
Cons
There are times when Microsoft Word can be a bit buggy. For me, this traditionally occurs when formatting documents into a Word file. Using the paragraph feature can sometimes mitigate this, but there are times when you have to do additional troubleshooting which can be a time grab.

Horrible Unreliable Program
Reviewed on 2024/05/14
Pros
Nothing, this software is literally from h#$%
Cons
This software is not reliable, I've been writing a book - and I saved my file. When opening the file the next day, large sections were deleted randomly throughout the book, and 9 pages of information were missing, scattered. I had to re-piece together what sections were even missing, and now I have to write them entirely from scratch again. Autosave feature will not work, and no autosaved files were stored even with all those features turned on. The program is highly unreliable and I wouldn't recommend anyone to trust this platform.

I was resistant to converting from WordPerfect to Microsoft Word at my law firm. I was the first to try it before we converted the whole office.
Pros
It is easy to learn and use. Most people use it so sharing documents is convenient.
Cons
I’ve been using it for decades. Previously you bought Microsoft Suite. I don’t like that we pay yearly or monthly.

Overall I'd say Microsoft Word is a great program. Its also a good tool to teach your six year old how to type.
Pros
The font features.
Great for typing.
Header ad Footer feature is a addition to documents.
Cons
Having to create/draw my own table is a nightmare, and when using online Word, the auto correct would change from the correct word to an incorrect one.

Word is still the best document software and worth the time investment to learn
Reviewed on 2025/01/03
Pros
I have been using Word for over 20 years and have seen it evolve through many versions. It has maintained its core functionality extremely well while adding a plethora of features and tools. In a Sharepoint environment, there are so many great collaborative tools that allow multiple users to create and revise documents together. A must for all businesses and educational settings!
Cons
Most users are only familiar with a fraction of the features and functionality available, so there is a learning curve necessary and sadly fewer and fewer people seem to be getting that exposure as simpler tools flood the market, which is unfortunate. Word still has so much to offer.

Microsoft Word is one of my favorite software to use when it comes to the document writing with some improvements on what you can add to it. It gives volume to the document and makes it more vibrant as compared to earlier version of the software.
Pros
Microsoft Word is one of the best software for writing documents with ease. I have been using Microsoft Word for more than 20 years now and I can see the development of the software over the years.
Cons
The thing that I like the least about Microsoft Word is the insertion of images and how it wraps with the written document. The selection are a bit confusing at times so you are required to do trial and error to get your desired results.

Microsoft Word has rightfully stood the test of time. It's organizational features, ease of use, and pre-designed templates can be a great addition for organizations that need functionality, customization, and proper organization with their important documents.
Pros
Microsoft Word is a user-friendly system that makes creating and organizing files a simple process.
Cons
Adding more fonts would be a plus! Also, if there is a way to integrate design systems into Microsoft that would be a fantastic because of the nature of my job. Although I am the Front Desk Receptionist Manager at Calvary University, I often do graphic design work for posters, slides, etc.

This is the complete word processing application that always works smoothly. The overall cost of the software is a little higher than i think should be asked but all in all it is well worth every penny when you save time and headache in the long run.
Pros
Microsoft Word is an all in one, easy to use, professional and feature rich word processing application that never lets me down and gets the job done quickly and beautifully.
Cons

I've used (and taught people to use) word processing programs for more than 30 years (anyone remember Word 6?), and produced everything from web pages to book-length documents using it. Over the years it has become a reliable and multi-featured product, but the "look and feel" are stable.
Pros
While there are still good and popular options out there (Sheets and Google Docs), for education purposes Word is the standard: it's compatible with LMS systems, stable, has lots of features, and is convertable between applications and formats.
Cons
Maybe a few too many features? I'm not a fan of its aggressive automation either, although I do still appreciate spell check. The real concern is cost, which is helping shift education systems to Google options.

I use Word every day to create and read documents.
It has a lot of features, not only "text related" (e.g. you can insert images, graphs, create tables, protect your file with password...). I tried other products for word processing, but Microsoft Word is the best.
Pros
I think Microsoft Word is the best text editor ever. During the years it has been improved a lot (but it was already the best at its beginning). Creating a document (for example a letter, a manual, a gift card or banner) is really easy, plus you can choose among a lot of templates instead of starting from zero.
The interface is simple and clean, in the home section you have most of the features you need. Just choose the font and its size if you don't like the default ones. You can save your files as docx but also you can convert them to pdf thanks to microsoft print to pdf (simply press CTRL P and choose the virtual printer).
Word is a stable program, runs smooth and you can interact with files created with older versions without any problem.
Cons
Obviously you have to buy the office suite to use Word, but it's worth the price (there are many plans available).

Pros

Great, if I have a document need it's the go to source. I would not use any alternatives as it's simple and easy to create any document that I may need.
Pros
Microsoft Word is the gold standard for creating documents. Simple to use, can easily save and send, and the ability to edit the document to fit your needs is significant.
Cons
The only issue is that there are certain times where I will need to add images and if there are multiple images, the interface can get wonky. I have encountered minor bugs that make me have to start with a completely new document.

Pros
Microsoft Word makes creating professional Word documents easy. The editor tool ensures documents have no mistakes. The dictation button is an incredible time saver and the amount of tools available allows you to create just about any kind of document you could need.
Cons
It takes time to learn how to use all the tools available in the software. You must have some knowledge of computers to effectively use Microsoft Word and documents created in Word sometimes encounter formatting problems when opened in other software.

Cons

Overall, my experience with Microsoft Word has been very positive. It is a great tool that meets all of my word processing needs. I appreciate the extensive features, ease of use, and the collaboration aspect. While there are some cons around the cost and complexity, the benefits it offers outweigh those issues. I would recommend Microsoft Word to anyone who wants a reliable word processing solution.
Pros
Microsoft is an awesome software. I really enjoy features like spell check, grammar check, and thesaurus because they improve the quality of my writing. These features make it easier to produce polished work.
Cons
While it has many advanced features, some people may find them overwhelming to use. It can be a lot of functions to manage at once if they only require basic word processing.
