The number one presentation software package
Reviewed on 2019/11/22
I've created innumerable presentations for clients big and small. In my many years of using the product and sending presentations to people all around the globe, I have never once had someone tell me they could not open a file or report any problems with their presentation. It takes some practice to truly master, but once you've spent quality time working with the software you can do some good stuff.
Pros
PowerPoint is a straightforward tool for making and showing presentations with an interface that is very much "what-you-see-is-what-you-get." It is also the dominant presentation software, meaning that you will probably never find a client or venue that will have problems with any presentation you created in PowerPoint. It is also rather versatile, allowing users to do far more that slide-based presentations. Users can create online slideshows, clickable infographics, and embed original graphics and videos.
Cons
Like all Microsoft products, PowerPoint has it's eccentricities. It could be more user-friendly, which is where some of the competing presentation apps excel. It is absolutely not good for creating original art or illustrations, even though many users seem to think so. If you want original graphics then you should be creating them in some other app (like Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and then importing them into PowerPoint.
Reasons for Switching to Microsoft PowerPoint
The near-universal accessibility of PowerPoint makes it very easy to create presentations that anyone can watch. You don't want a client to have any trouble viewing or using the product, and PowerPoint is great for that.- Industry: Photography

J.L. Microsoft PowerPoint Review
Reviewed on 2023/02/11
Microsoft PowerPoint has truly helped me excel with the visual interpretation of my school's curriculum whether I was creating content or on the receiving end of understanding other people's work. As with all other Microsoft applications, this software did not disappoint me because it was created for beginners, intermediates like myself, and advanced users to bring the same message across on a powerpoint presentation. It's truly a software I would recommend to anyone!
Pros
As an intermediate editor, having the content I want to present to others seamlessly transition from one thing to another is great. Microsoft PowerPoint's wide array of transitions from fades to slides really makes me enjoy this software a whole lot.
Cons
I had a big problem with the powerpoints being compatible on all of my devices. One issue in particular was when I had to create a presentation on my tablet and when it was time for me to display my group's work using a projector, the content at the bottom of every slide was not visible despite being able to see it during the creation and preview stages of the presentation on both my tablet and PC.

Missing features and difficult to use
Reviewed on 2021/02/12
I have been using presentation software since Aldus Persuasion. When Adobe, who Aldus merged with, discontinued Persuasion, I had to switch to the much less capable PowerPoint. Over the years, PowerPoint added in some of the cool features of Persuasion. But it took Microsoft several years to make it work as smoothly as Persuasion and they never got it completely right. But it was the only option, at the time. Eventually, Apple introduced Keynote for Mac, which included most of what had been in Persuasion and much more. It took them a couple of years to get it right. But during that time, they kept adding in new features. The more I used Keynote, the less I liked PowerPoint. Today, I only keep PowerPoint around for opening someone else's PowerPoint files. I have found Keynote to be a far superior product, both in features and ease of use. I can quickly and easily do things in Keynote that totally baffles PowerPoint pros. PowerPoint never was all that good, to begin with. It only stayed around because it was promoted as part of MS Office, to be the "standard." It did get better, over the years. But it still lags far behind Keynote. But if you're not a Mac user, it's your only real choice, since Keynote only works on Mac.
Pros
The only pro that I can think of is that you can open those PowerPoint files that you occasionally get in emails. It's probably quite acceptable for simple slide shows, with simple transitions. But that's where it ends. If you want your presentation to look really professional, this is not the software for you.
Cons
It's far more difficult to do some transitions in PowerPoint than in Keynote for Mac. It's like you're doing things that it was not designed to do. There are also some transitions that I do in Keynote that I have yet to figure out a way to do in PowerPoint. It's just awkward to use. It also requires more steps to do certain things (i.e. you have to apply time-consuming kludges to make certain things work). It's very basic and definitely NOT for professional looking presentations.

PowerPoint is the Gold Standard for Presentation Software - Recommended!
Reviewed on 2020/02/04
PowerPoint is designed for giving presentations. Back in the day we'd give these presentations in a room via a projector, but now we give our presentations online through screen-sharing services like GoToMeeting. PowerPoint is great because it still allows us to give that same presentation, with our slides, animations, graphics, videos, media, charts, reports, and so on, through our computer screen. I can pre-record my presentation as part of the PowerPoint, or speak live. I have a lot of options and PowerPoint provides even more through its software.
Those familiar with Microsoft will have no problem with the PowerPoint interface. And those new to Microsoft will get the hang of it quickly, because Microsoft designs their products to be intuitive.
Pros
If you're in business, you know PowerPoint. Everyone knows PowerPoint. It's essential for any business, because we all use it. I know that if I create a presentation in PowerPoint, it will run on computers 99.9% of the places I go because everyone uses it. It's easy to use, and Microsoft has made it practically intuitive with drag-and-drop functionality. Most of us have been using PowerPoint for decades as it is, but the fact that it's become easier to use and more flexible makes it essential for any business.
Cons
Like many Microsoft products, a small business owner like myself does not have any need for many of the high-level functions of this software. Also, the cost is a factor for those who are on a shoe string budget, especially given that there are free options out there if you're willing to sacrifice some of the bells and whistles that PowerPont offers, as well as the ability to save files in Microsoft's proprietary file extension (that would allow you to open your saved file on other computers that have PowerPoint).

Preparation of presentations, functional modeling of web pages and digital catalogs
Reviewed on 2018/07/03
Pros
PowerPoint is an application used for the creation and distribution of presentations in meetings, courses and events, quite functional and very complete, capable of making simple presentations to very complex designs. I think PowerPoint is a super powerful tool totally underused. It is excellent in the sense that if you do not master specific design programs such as illustrator or Photoshop, and want to create other types of documents such as an ebook or an infographic, you can create your own template, generate the content and then export your presentation as PDF or as an image to share it. It has a huge amount of automatic tools, such as the alignment of objects, the ability to combine them according to the needs, make transparencies for more professional finishes and something very great that has is the ability to create and use keyboard shortcuts in the autocorrector helping us to save weather. It can also be used to create more visual and infographics, filling forms with images. For example, you could create a bar graph, copy it and paste it back as an image, and use it to fill in a silhouette. it gives the ability to add audios and narrationsyo our slides, giving us the possibility to make small editions and a total control of these to unify them with the presentation. Finally, PowerPoint offers a world of possibilities and very useful tools for companies, characterizing it because anyone is able to use it, but if you put a little more effort you can make great slides.
Cons
Creating attractive PowerPoint slides can be a task takes a lot of work compared to creating a projected presentation, a whiteboard or other visual materials. Most people do not have time to develop content and then learn how to turn it into a motivating and impressive presentation. If the PowerPoint slides seem rushed or flawed, it could seem that no time was spent preparing, decreasing the effectiveness of the presentation.
What appears on the slides is not always what appears in the presentation, the colors and font types displayed on the computer will not necessarily be the same in your presentation.

I use it every day, I love it

PowerPoint always helps me to capture the attention of those to whom I present my material. As Security Coordinator I train and train more than 3000 people per project, in the different branches of my specialty.
Pros
I have used Power Point for many years, I use it very well, it is a very easy tool to use with a great variety of predesigned template that facilitates the use, but also gives you all the necessary tools to create them according to your needs, this program has a variety of extensions with which the file can be saved, among which are the native extensions of the program such as PPT which is the extension with which you can edit the slide that is being made and PPS which is the extension with the that the program recognizes the slide and executes it.
The PowerPoint is one of the most widespread, versatile, and sensitive programs and has a very extensive range of tools with which you can customize the slides we make, such as:
The use of templates; that can be done by the user, in addition to those that are already pre-established, you can enter texts varying the color and size of the letters according to the needs and tastes of the user.
You can insert images facilitating a better understanding of what the slide is about and inserting texts to the images complementing the exhibition.
It has animation tools, with which you can give effects to texts and images, giving it a better appearance.
In the audio you can vary between inserting music, explanations, narrations, or related talks that can be adjusted.
Among other.
Cons
The disadvantage, the PowerPoint user has gives you the tools to make an excellent presentation, fun, bright, entertaining and interesting among other qualities, but you as a user can make it boring, overloaded with effects with unusual templates, is as creative as you want it to be

Great idea, but badly outdated.
Reviewed on 2019/12/03
I love the ease of us in PowerPoint once you get the hang of it. I hate the little glitches it has when you export or save things. Something that they did, that is a benefit, is adding Microsoft Bing to search (mostly) royalty free images. it would be super awesome, if they had a plug-in for flicker and other royalty free images search sites or like Pixabay. I love the idea of PowerPoint, but it feels like it's a forgotten project by Microsoft. Only updated on rare occasions. I would even pay extra, for bonus features if they ended up or something. I do a lot of training, and I like Microsoft PowerPoint because I can create quick videos, and I am familiar with the software layout. If Microsoft developers upgraded the sound and editing features, as well as added some cooler graphics that don't look like they're from the 90s intros and outros, this could be a really good product to compete with current marketplace services. the benefit of PowerPoint is that it is all in one software package, first other software services, have way better graphics or effects, but take longer to piece together. I like PowerPoint, I really hope they improve it soon, it feels like a slow moving boat, next to all the Ferraris and jets out there.
Pros
Being able to export pp to video files. I do a lot of training, and create videos, PowerPoint makes it easier to create the base and export the video. Then edit the video in magic movie studio, to beef up the sound and add effects. It would be extremely helpful if I could add sound effects on the video, say when I click on a picture or something, and have it sync up correctly when I am recording audio. But as of right now it doesn't blend well and the mixer feels like something from the 90s, it's hilarious how tacky it is. Microsoft is good when they care about something, but it feels like PowerPoint is the bastard child they keep around out of pitt, but don't pay much attention to it, other than feeding it a meal every now and then.
Cons
Glitchy, very glitchy. Poor output processing, if you accidentally save, it will cancel your entire export and not bother asking you if that's what you want or to cancel the save. Love many features, but it feels so old and static. They could offer way cooler intros, outs, and side effects, but they are still stuck in the 1997 to 2003 graphics era. Cheesy effects. I love creating tutorial videos with PP, please give more options for audio sound effects, splicing, and editing. The system now is very 1997ish. So basic!

I use PowerPoint on a daily basis with the objective of creating training content for my team.
Reviewed on 2018/06/05
This software allows me to really deliver training content to my peers and employees. It is useful even when creating e-learning content using other recording software in tandem with PPT.
I believe that it is an absolute requirement to learn and understand how to use Microsoft PowerPoint. The updates and improvements made by Microsoft have really made this product a must use for corporations and single users alike.
Pros
PowerPoint is a very straightforward and comprehensive software, when used for the simple task of delivering quick, text-centric content it is a cost-effective and simple tool to use. Users have the ability to create fast and easy to read presentations for a wide variety of purposes. There is a reason why MS. PowerPoint is a standard application and a requirement for most professionals. The application has an added benefit of being accessible on tablets and mobile devices. Another great feature is the "presenter view" which allows the presenter to view and anticipate the content being presented when creating a presentation you can also add comments to further add details to your slide.
Cons
PowerPoint's slide-based model is one of the oldest tricks in the book, it is absolutely the simplest format one can think of to deliver content aside from emails. However, in 2018 there are far better options out there such as Adobe Captivate and Camtasia (which has PowerPoint integration).
The hyperlinking is faulty at times and can use some improvement. The files can get damaged when transferred, especially via email.
Adding audio or video to PowerPoint could prove slightly complicated at times if you are not well versed in how to use it.
PowerPoint requires creativity if you want your slides to not be boring.

Power Point Review
Reviewed on 2021/03/11
For me, PowerPoint is the fastest way to create high-quality presentations and templates for video sales letters.
With Power Point as a basis, screen capture videos can also be created with video software.
I use this for my online courses with great success. Thank you Microsoft.
Pros
On the one hand, it is of course easiest to transport a presentation when it is available in digital form. In the same way as e-books or e-mails, you are also more environmentally friendly due to the low paper consumption.
The presentation also has some advantages for the lecture itself. The digital processing of the presentation requires a certain structure and organization of the lecture, since only one topic should be addressed on each slide.
In addition, PowerPoint offers good support if you forget what should be addressed next
If used correctly, the graphic support should also be the only task of the Powerpoint presentation. The graphic support gives you the opportunity to attract everyone's attention rather than just speaking freely.
Another advantage of the Powerpoint presentation is that changes and updates can still be carried out without any problems even at the last moment, in contrast to an elaborately designed presentation board.
Cons
There is a high risk of forgetting that you are the focus of your presentation. It can happen that you rely too much on your presentation and forget your own posture and articulation.
In addition, to a certain extent it is always a bit tricky to have to rely on technology. If it also has many advantages, you will be pretty smeared if it fails.
The same applies to incorrect handling of the program. Because some people don't know how to use PowerPoint and incorporate so many special effects into their lecture that the audience hardly knows what it's actually about. Because of this, high quality knowledge of the program is necessary if you intend to use it. Amateur handling is the reason why PowerPoint today often has a negative connotation.

Authoring tool of choice, eLearning or Presenting
Reviewed on 2020/12/09
My roles within many companies has meant that I have had occasion to use PowerPoint in almost every way that it was designed for and in some cases not designed for. Does it do everything a professional design tool can, (like Photoshop, illustrator, etc.), no it does not, but it is one heck of an authoring tool for creating visual aids for presentations, reports, posters, videos, animations and eLearning. In my humble opinion the bad press that PowerPoint gets is much more about the User ability than the tool itself. My first recommendation to anyone using PowerPoint is, learn how to think visually first. Visual aids should help the audience, not an autocue for the speaker. The second recommendation is that you should always add speaker notes, besides being a good discipline for speaking, it means that you can distribute your slide decks in a way that makes sense to the reader and if it is a course your notes can server as the narrative for eLearning conversion.
Pros
I was once asked at a learning conference, "what makes someone a Subject Matter Expert?" My answer was simple, as a SME you have learned what you can get away with not doing, in other words been there done that. PowerPoint falls into this category, it has been around forever and adopted best practices from the industries it serves. It does not do things to the level that other professional tools do, but then it doesn't need to and I ceratainly have gone past worriying what I can't do and focus on what I can do in the tool.
It is feature rich in many areas, not that many users know what these are, but it covers most bases from Templates and styles to design tools and idea generation. The graphic tools and functions are easy to understand and the animation features makes it simple to create professional looking animations. The selection pane is a godsend when working with many latered slide. The Add-ins feature is great for creating things like Word-clouds, especially when trying to get demographic messages across.
As far as I am concerned when developing eLearning content it is difficult to see any eLearning specific tools match the authoring capability of PowerPoint, the key is to ensure the conversion tool can convert all the features in PowerPoint to HTML5. This gives you future proof content that anybody can edit, not just a software savvy developer!
Cons
There are only a few niggles (wishes) that I would note about PowerPoint and these might not even be something users would come across, it will be easier just to list these in the hope that oneday Microsoft might read this review and take note:
1. Enable drawing with bezier curves, rather than clicking points and editing them afterwards.
2. Allow all animation rows to be moved together (avoid having to step out each one by half a second!)
3. Enable straight line to be changed to multi-point line (so you can curve it)
4. It would be good if you could track changes like in Word, especially when sharing with a client to edit.
5. Exporting speakers notes without slides would be useful.
6. When exporting to Word it is a pain that each slide thumbnail is the whole presentation (makes it a massive Word file).
The last thing is a double edged sword, is it is too easy to use, so everybody things the software will make their presentation look good, not the case, you have to think about it!

Microsoft PowerPoints Powers Presenters to Take Point in Your Success
Reviewed on 2019/04/12
I personally use PowerPoint every day of my life. I have 3-4 business reviews to do each week, so I heavily rely on PowerPoint. I love what Microsoft has done over the years to improve the UI and rich features of the client. My favorite features include the new presenter mode where I can see my slide notes on one screen and the slides on the projector screen. I use the laser pointer a ton, so it helps me to get precise on what points I want to land with the audience.
I also love the co-authoring features, the read out loud feature, the icon features they integrated to create infographic type of presentations to drive a simple message to the audience, the ease of inserting media, and the professional transitions that they've incorporated.
Overall, I would rate PowerPoint as 5 out of 5 stars for ease of use, creating professional presentations in minutes, and the effectiveness of this platform in helping me deliver excellence in my presentations in a way that allows my audience to learn and apply my points well.
Pros
The biggest differentiated value to Powerpoint are as follows:
1. It is both consumer and enterprise ready. It's rare to find platforms that present content that covers all audience levels
2. The ease of use. PowerPoint is built in a way that is self explanatory to learn with an easy to use navigation bar. I have taught my grandmother how to use PowerPoint before in the past, and she figured out how to use it within a few minutes.
3. The rich features that come with PowerPoint. From PowerPoint Translator to Office Mix, PowerPoint is more than just presenting slides. PowerPoint has the power to bridge language gaps, serve the accessibility community, and enable all audience levels to become better presenters.
4. Collaboration - The PowerPoint rich client or PowerPoint online enables co-authoring, bridging the gap and breaking down walls on collaborating to make great presentations even when various parties are spread across the world. I personally have experience doing this, and it is powerful to work with other folks on preparing for important presentations globally through their co-authoring features.
Cons
PowerPoint does not integrate spreadsheets as cleanly as other Office related products. The formatting gets thrown off, and it does not do a clean copy and paste.
PowerPoint can get very heavy on the file size by simply adding an image. It is not as easily shareable as other Office products due to the high file size. Microsoft could do a better job compressing the rich features they built in for users to use in a way that can be attached to emails.

Microsoft Powerpoint Review - Through my PC-Using-Years
Reviewed on 2019/10/02
I can now do presentation using screen recorder especially if I am making tutorial videos. I have no problems with Powerpoint and I can achieve specific needs for my presentation. Powerpoint-user since the time I learned how to use a PC, and up to now, that I have complicated needs for media productions, Powerpoint is always there to help me!!!
Pros
For the past years, Powerpoint has evolved into an indispensable tool in this age of digital presentation. I started using it when I was still a college student where I make my classroom reports for my Sociology subjects. My teacher then, was really impressed with my presentation and looking back today, I am laughing at my classic animation and slide transition coupled with sound effects for each movement of the objects in a slide. Looking at PPT now, with Microsoft Office 365, I can make sophisticated and trendy presentations that uses the usual "user-friendly" GUI of Powerpoint. I love the advance animations and exciting items available for producing quality presentations.
Many people are using presentation tools like Camtasia, Screen-o-matic, and/or Articulate thinking that they have advance features. They are missing the point that they can also do it in Powerpoint. It is now loaded with new features and applying your skill sets for the application interface that you have been familiar with, over the years. I just hate to see people wasting a lot of money on other products, realizing that they still need to spend time in learning the softwares and training to be proficient with it. When in fact, POWERPOINT can do the presentation job for you!!!
Cons
Powerpoint should have an added menu where they can train and disseminate their new features to the users, both new and avid users. With that interface, the user will learn the new features by simply clicking on that menu. Furthermore, it would be a plus if there are exciting animation/effects that can be used for smooth transitions and movements, so that the animation will be more fluid and professional. Templates and Categories for starters will be Qa great help for those who doesn't have enough background in designing and color schemes. Lastly, it will be nice if we can export our presentation to different social media platforms, since it is now the treQQnd for presentation/video productions.

This program has been an essential tool in my professional development, I use it since 1996.
Reviewed on 2018/08/02
This software has allowed me to show professional presentations in a short time and thus meet the requirements of the oil business.
Pros
What I like most about this software is that it is easy to use, it is adaptable to any business and engineering activity, showing graphics, images and text in presentations at a professional level. I have always had the impression that was designed thinking about the oil industry, most of the daily reports and meetings in the oil business use the PowerPoint format, in these are shown specialized schemes and graphics among others.
The connectivity feature and direct compatibility with other Microsoft tools such as Exel and Word are very useful and save time in the daily activities and requirements of the oil business.
In my place of work daily they request presentations and reports, using PowerPoint we can solve in time.
I use this program since my beginnings in the oil industry, back in 1996, it was the PowerPoint95 version, since that time it has been an essential tool in my professional development.
Cons
What I like least about this software are some graphic limitations in terms of bitmap image resolution and the high use of RAM memory that require the best graphic resolution vector images. Although these features have been improving over time, I would like in the future to be able to compare PowerPoint with a Canvas type tool in terms of the graphic quality of objects and images.
Another feature that can be improved is the incompatibility of files generated in more recent versions of the program with older versions.

With PowerPoint anyone can create stunning presentations
Reviewed on 2020/11/30
When collaborating with someone on a presentation, or when someone else is creating slides for you, it is very often necessary to give or provide some feedback. This feedback can be provided by editing the slide directly, but then all changes made are lost. If you want to give your opinion without direct changes, you can use the comments.
A comment is a note that can be attached to any slide or part of it. PowerPoint 2010 and 2013 have this capability and it is a great way to share feedback with everyone else working on that presentation.
Once you've added a comment, you can easily edit or reply to it later.
The option to insert comments exists in both Excel and Word, but few people know about this option in PowerPoint.
To insert comments, you need to go to Review, and there you will find the option to insert comments.
You can also view the comments one by one by clicking the back and forth buttons.
Finally, you can delete all comments by clicking Delete, where you choose the option to delete all comments from the entire presentation or from just one slide.
Pros
Microsoft Office PowerPoint is a presentation program and is part of the Microsoft Office suite. PowerPoint is one of the simplest computer programs. It is just as useful in the business world as it is in classrooms, and is the most widespread tool for making presentations.
Anyone can create stunning presentations that look like they were designed by professionals.
With it, you can quickly and easily design and create various presentation materials according to your own needs, be it on-screen presentation, web presentation, projection foils, accompanying brochures…
PowerPoint presentations consist of the number of individual pages or "slides". Slides can contain text, images, animation, sound and other objects, which can be freely edited.
By combining texts, tables, graphs, illustrations, videos and sound recordings into a meaningful whole, you come to an effective presentation. In that way, you create a powerful tool with which you transfer information and ideas much faster and with better quality.
Cons
1.It’s not the software itself but rather the way many people use it, their eyes locked on their presentation unfortunately.
2.Lack of possibilities, in fact, I use PowerPoint only for making presentations.
And also surely the price which remains high if you are not a student.
3.The weak point, however, is that there should be more choice between different models.

Whatever you are planning to use for school, university, business, teaching...Etc. this software is a great choice for everyone, and it will save you a lot of time and a headache by creating simple and really well-designed presentations and you will definitely get attention when presenting it.
I really love it and love all the features and the Microsoft team is doing an amazing job with every version we get and I really feel the change every time.
I will keep using it for my personal and my business projects and I will keep recommending it to everyone.
Pros
I like it because It's very simple to use and everything you need you will find in the toolbar.
Great value for the price
I use it for my personal projects and for my Business presentations and I have used it for University projects too and I never had any problem.
I really like the animation and the transitions library.
I also, use it to convert my presentation to animated videos by saving them as an MP4 file.
I also, use it to convert my presentation to images and to PDF files.
Their Mobile app is great, and no need to take your laptop or pc with you and, you can just connect your phone to a TV or Data show and play the Slideshow from your phone.
It allows me to insert images and videos and audio files and add them to my presentation and also, I can add links and I can click on them to redirect me without closing the slideshow.
They have a lot of templates, and you will find exactly what you are looking for and you don't need to create a presentation it's very simple and you can just change the text and you are ready to go.
I really like the crop option inside PowerPoint because I don't need to use image-editing software to edit my images and I like the image effects too.
The best thing about PowerPoint is you really don't need an internet connection to open .ppt files.
I like the integration with other Microsoft software like word and excel for example.
Cons
I really never had any problem with PowerPoint and I have been using it since high school and I did a lot of projects on it.
But, they can add more templates to cover other topics.
and they also can improve the copy/paste between word, excel, and PowerPoint because sometimes the formate is not copied correctly.

Microsoft PowerPoint Review
Reviewed on 2019/05/05
MS PowerPoint has been a must have software for me since like forever. I believe it has manage to keep up with the competition, even though upon its release it was a pretty much unique software. It has upgraded and keep pace inspite of all the crazy changes that the latest technological revolution has brought. MS PowerPoint has never disappointed me, it has always been my tool for choice in creating slideshow presentations for most of my academic, profesional and personal projects. I personally find all of the animation options to be really good and useful.
Pros
MS PowerPoint is well-known among the academic and work industry. It is one of the most popular softwares for creating and sharing slideshow presentations and for being part of the Office 365 suite. Pretty much a basic in the software world, Microsoft PowerPoint it´s an extremely intuitive software, easy to use and a very powerful tool. MS PowerPoint has a lot of advantages, beginning with its long history and already proven quality, not to mention its great reputation, ending up with its flexibility to work with multiple files, export in multiple formats and be compatible with pretty much every device. It has a wide selection of templates that are pretty decent and aesthetic, a nice fonts library, animation and graphic options, in summary all of the fancy tools that you require to give your presentations the ultimate touch. I personally like the fact that it is very easy to access this software from anywhere and the fact that it has a friendly mobile version is also very useful.
Cons
I would say that one of the main downsides of this software is the fact that you can´t directly publish your slides online in platforms like Youtube, FB, or other similar socialmedia. Also, you can no longer purchase it by itself, it is included in the Office 365 suite.

Easy and Effective Tool to Present Information
Reviewed on 2019/10/03
I use PowerPoint as a teaching tool daily. I prefer PowerPoint to other similar software such as Prezzie or Google Slides because I find it easy to use and just smoother in overall performance. It allows me to have several different presentations on a laptop and I can use them whenever I need to. It's easy and effective!
Pros
My favorite thing about PowerPoint is that it is extremely easy to use. For most basic PowerPoint projects, I feel like anyone could open up the software and figure out how to use it at it's basic level. I feel like the interface of PowerPoint is very user-friendly and it's organized like other Microsoft Office products. Because it's organized the same way, it makes it very easy to use especially if your familiar with other Microsoft Office products. I also love the newer feature of design help. It pops up with design ideas just to the right of your work area and makes it very accessible to change the design of your slides. The user can select through the different options and see how these design ideas might look on your slides with your information and graphics. It allows for very professional looking slides without putting in much effort.
Cons
I feel like this software works great if you always go in order all the time with your slides but if you are the type that likes to jump around to meet the needs of your audience, this can be cumbersome with PowerPoint. There is a way to more seamlessly build into your presentation the ability to say skip over a certain area if your running short on time but it's a more advanced feature that can take some practice to learn and use correctly.
