Reliable event management platform

Pros

Cvent has been around for so long that is has a huge community of users and lots of guide to help you with the platform. It does everything you need from a events platform.

Cons

The workflow is a bit clunky, it can be hard to find exactly what you looking to edit as it could be under a heading you didn't expect it to be under.

My experience with Cvent has been outstanding across various event types. For large in-person events, I’ve relied on its speedy and responsive check-in feature, which made managing a large audience seamless. It ensured that attendees could check in quickly, reducing wait times and enhancing their overall experience.

On the flip side, for smaller meetings, Cvent has been equally effective. I’ve used it to manage notifications, RSVPs, and all logistical details with ease. The platform’s versatility allows me to tailor my approach, whether I’m coordinating a massive conference or an intimate gathering. Overall, Cvent has been an invaluable tool for streamlining the entire event management process.

What I like most about Cvent is its user-friendly interface, clear knowledge base, and the support from reliable account managers who truly understand my goals. It’s made event management seamless and effective since 2009!

EVERYTHING. I absolutely love this system. Easy to use, easy to learn, everything needed for an event is in one place.

All in One Event Planning

Pros

Cvent event management made it easier for us to organize our events in one platform. The ready-to-use templates and flexibility to host small to large events is a plus! I love using the customer support live chat anytime I run into an issue. They are quick to respond!

Cons

It can be a bit time consuming on learning how to use Cvent overall, but after that everything is seamless. Not being able to login into multiple devices using one account gets tiresome when I am working offsite and my computer at work still has me logged in.

I have been using Cvent since 2014 and can say that I have had a great experience over the past 10 years and have seen so many new updates and features rolled out that make me excited to see what they can offer in the future, as well.

Pros

I like having the ability to execute an event from its inception all the way through execution and post-event using all of the Cvent platform whether it be via the Event Management platform, the mobile app, and onsite management.

Cons

The only con I would say is there is a limit to how customized you can make things at a certain point.

I enjoy building our programs on Cvent, there was a learning curve as with all systems, but with Cvent's wide range of help desk options we know we always have resources at our fingertips to help us along the way.

Pros

We use Cvent event management daily for multiple clients in a various array of fields. Cvent allows us to customize our registration sites so we can relay meeting specific information to our attendees. We build simple to very complex sites, mobile apps, in-person, virtual and hybrid events. Having one platform that allows us to build all of these options based on our clients needs is amazing, easy, and time saving. We can easily provide reporting, planner alerts, session content and so much more.

Cons

I'm still getting used to the new mobile app layout and features. I used to build the mobile apps on the old Cvent platform and there are a few features I miss having access to such as groups, which made assigning last minute breakouts for attendees a bit easier.

We are happy to report that it will include sessions very soon and should give you the capabilities you have described. It should be available in the next month.

Pros

I enjoy how user friendly Cvent event management is. Creating the mobile app, uploading attendees and sending emails are important for our job, and having it all in one place is convenient!

Cons

At this time, there are not any major cons I have with Cvent. Sometimes the website can act up a bit when adding attendees, however, that happens with all websites and customer support is helpful.

Overall, don't love this platform for what I use it for. I understand that it's good for other things and integrations, but for registration, it's not that great.

Pros

I only used it for registration site building for the most part, but I know you can do many things with Cvent - they have a lot of tools under their umbrella that all integrate with one another.

Cons

The registration site building is not super customizable. I've used many platforms for this and this is my least favorite. The customer service is sometimes slow to respond, or just doesn't in some scenarios, and they don't cover everything - you can connect with someone and then they say they can't help you and send you to someone else.

Pros

Registration is pretty easy to set up. I wish there was a more linear path for creating an event or a checklist to use for some of the different parts.

Cons

Cost and ease of customization. It seems that you may need some coding experience to really get the most out of building the registration site and the attendee site and app are even more limited.

Sometimes links do not work and I need to add and delete sessions from people and if they are not in the same registration type it gets tricky.

Great product for event planner

Pros

Cvent is a great platform to source your venue and create your event, registration. Also the integration it provides with AttendeeHub and/or onArrival is key when planning events.

Cons

While the backend tool is easy to use and user friendly, I would love to see a more mobile version of the backend.
