I <3 TSheets!

Reviewed on 2019/09/13

Support is AWESOME and the Account Managers are the best. I never have to wait very long to get an answer or get a problem fixed. Just like today, the customer service rep, helped me fix an issue with the mobile app.

Pros

The ease of use for time tracking and the auto-syncing with QuickBooks Online. The support from TSheets is outstanding and that is the NUMBER ONE reason I stay with TSheets.

Cons

The scheduling module is a bit lacking for some of my clients. This is why some of my clients have gone with a different solution. As soon as the scheduling is up to their standards I will get them back to TSheets

Simple Timesheet Solutions

Reviewed on 2020/02/25

Tsheets makes it simple for the employee, project manager and accounting team to record hours, gather information and track projects. Glitches eventually work themselves out but I've grown to expect some issues when enrolling new employees, even though they have the same setup. I appreciate that it integrates with Quickbooks as well.

Pros

Easy to run reports by custom date range, project, customer and employee. This is crucial for our accounting and project management.

Cons

The permissions can be confusing when setting up new employees, whereby the employee(s) were unable to access features by phone or computer even though their permissions were identical to another employee's. Of particular issue was entering hours manually rather than clocking in/out -- the option simply wouldn't show up on their end. It seemed to take making the same changes several times before the program "clicked". Perhaps there can be a copy/paste feature for new employee profiles.

Efficient Time Tracking and Payroll Management

Reviewed on 2023/02/18

Overall, QuickBooks Time is a reliable and efficient time tracking and payroll management software with an easy-to-use interface and customizable settings. While it may not have the most advanced reporting or HR functions, it is a great option for small to medium-sized businesses looking to streamline their time tracking and payroll processes.

Pros

Easy to use and navigate interface: QuickBooks Time has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, making it simple for employees to clock in and out, request time off, and access their timesheets.Robust time tracking features: The software offers several time tracking options, including manual entry, mobile app, and biometric time clocks, allowing businesses to choose the best option for their needs. It also has GPS tracking, so employers can see where their employees are when they clock in and out.Seamless payroll integration: QuickBooks Time seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks Payroll, making it easy for businesses to process payroll accurately and efficiently.Customizable settings: The software allows businesses to customize settings, such as overtime rules and PTO accruals, to match their unique needs.

Cons

Limited reporting options: While QuickBooks Time does offer some basic reporting features, the options are relatively limited compared to other time tracking software. Businesses with more complex reporting needs may need to export data to a separate program for analysis.Limited HR functions: While the software does offer basic HR functions, such as time off requests and accrual tracking, it lacks more advanced HR features such as performance management and onboarding.Mobile app can be slow: While the mobile app is convenient for employees to use on-the-go, it can be slow and laggy at times, which can be frustrating for users.

Cons

There are some areas which the software may be improved or add such as payroll management feature.

Comprehensive review of QuickBooks Time

Reviewed on 2023/02/10

I have been using QuickBooks Time for several months now and I have found it to be a reliable and efficient tool for managing my time and expenses. The software has streamlined my work process, and I am able to easily keep track of all my projects, clients, and expenses.

Pros

The software offers a very intuitive user interface that makes it easy for users to navigate and complete tasks. I also appreciated the robust time tracking capabilities, which provide detailed time reports and allow for easy time entry, approval, and editing. The integration with QuickBooks accounting software is seamless and makes it easier to manage finances and track expenses.

Cons

One of the features I found lacking was the absence of a mobile app for on-the-go time tracking, which could be convenient for remote workers. Additionally, the pricing can be on the higher side compared to other similar products in the market.

Handiest Account Tool I've Managed

Reviewed on 2023/02/15

Loved it, super recommended, I mean it's quite a hassle-saver, life-saver accordingly.

Pros

Has been certainly a smooth experience for me. It's massively easy to use and has handy features right where you need them. The reporting features especially are a godsend & super useful in the usual business case of trying to figure out where time is being spent most or less & accordingly managing resources more efficiently. Like I said, real handy!

Cons

Could do with more variation in terms of handling multi-tasking or multi-domain/organization roles in a more intuitive way, that said it does the job better than the alternatives out there. (toggl track perhaps)

Set Up Made Easy

Reviewed on 2019/08/09

Tsheets has helped me manage my employees schedules, track their time, integrate with quickbooks payroll. This way I don't have to spend time looking at a different time system, printing the pdf document and then entering in the employees time into quickbooks to pay the employee. Also our company always has some employee that "forgot" to punch in or out and I was always having to fix it for them. Tsheets gives me the ability to have them fix it themselves or have another manager edit the time. The app is very user friendly and it seems to work well for my company.

Pros

The best thing about Tsheets for me is that I can use it with my quickbooks payroll and my employees can track their time and manage their missed clock in & outs themselves. This has really saved me some time during my day to give my employees some responsibility for their timesheets.

Cons

There is not much I don't like but if I have to pick one it would be the price. I am on the advanced level of quickbooks and use payroll also, and for the price I pay for that I think tsheets should be included as part of my subscription because they work so well together.

Only having one add on to QBO to do Time, Mileage and Expenses tracking/submission would be great.

Flexibility and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Pros

Syncing employees and vendors who are subcontractors with QuickBooks Online.

Cons

Expenses and Mileage tracking using GPS would be great (you're part way there with the GPS for employees). So what I like least is not having these fully developed.

Note your link to Expensify Integration "Learn more" in the add on section refers to this page: http://help.tsheets.com/knowledgebase/articles/890430 that does not load so I have no idea how it works. Can you please advise how this works.

Integration with QBO (previously a Xero user and after a year Ioathed their lack of support and their "this is the way we communicate" approach to customer service channels, i.e. look at this forum, then email and finally (after I had enough) phone. No web chats. Truly awful. Harvest was OK but I had to user zapier to sync with pipedrive and there was no sync to xero (apart from invoices which I didn't want). Didn't sync with Xero Projects. I have employees and subcontractor labour (vendors) and both can allocate time in TSheets to QBO Projects. Would be ideal if I could selectively sync the Vendors from QBO to TSheets (the work around is leaving out the First Name Last Name in QBO but this then limits the use of QBO Supplier details).

definitely not Simple and accurate as advertised

Reviewed on 2022/01/05

I really took a leap of faith on this product because of what my businesses associates warned me about. I think that quickbooks Time is just not for certain businesses. Especially for smaller businesses with budget conscious projects that have to check time management to ensure I don't go over the payroll allotment for specific projects.

Pros

I was really excited about all of the features this product had to offer. I mean so MANY features but I was very intrigued by the possibility of me being able to utilize this as my one stop shop for scheduling/time tracking/PTO, sick leave management/project time. This seemed like a way I could closely monitor productivity to better stay in budget for projects. I was very thankful for the incredible customer service QuickBooks provided, I was able to come to the realization that this product probably was the best for the company with their truthful, honest assistance.

Cons

I really dislike the amount of redundant features advertised as individual separate features. It was frustrating to say the least. There also were quite a bit of times that I had problems with scheduling and features that work in real time. I know QuickBooks Time is advertised as being "simple and accurate" but it was far from that.

Timekeeping in QuickBooks Time

Reviewed on 2021/08/24

It does save me a ton of time in tracking and payroll. It's also helped us out with determining accurate pricing for some of our services.

Pros

It integrates very well with the QBO platform, so if you're already using Quickbooks Online and Online Payroll, it's probably your best option. It's also pretty customizable, allowing it to be used for a variety of unique situations.

Cons

Intuit's customer support is useless. They're not empowered to do much of anything except tell you they can't help. At least that's been my experience. I did get good support during onboarding, but in general, if I call with an issue, they're mostly just hanging out on the phone with me while I more or less figure it out on my own.

TSheets is great for time tracking

Reviewed on 2019/10/03

We went from leased employees with ADP using their mobile app for time tracking to managing payroll in house using TSheets for time tracking. Best move I could have made. TSheets mobile is sooo much more functional than the ADP app. It is responsive, accurate and easy to use. Great GPS tracking, great for job costing and helping employees track their time to jobs accurately as they switch between jobs throughout the day.

Pros

Easy to use, functions well. The support is tremendous, they are quick and friendly and helpful. Don't let the Intuit name scare you away, they may be owned by them but they don't run their support like them. They are responsive and knowledgeable and own the issue on the first contact. They also look for and implement improvements to the product continuously and solicit feedback on new features. Our rep was great in solving some mysteries.

Cons

The reporting could be a little more robust, better formatted and adjustable to preferences.

Formerly T-Sheets, Now Crashing and Burning

Reviewed on 2021/11/10

It is our Number 1 company priority right now to identify and fully migrate onto a different, fully-functioning time tracking app that offers customer support.

Pros

When we started the Time app it was privately owned TSheets. We used it for several years without a problem of any sort, specifically benefitting from the geofencing and seamless integration into Quickbooks Desktop. Scheduling employees and giving them total control of their own time clock while maintaining good oversight was a major positive, and the user interface was very intuitive in an industry where people are notoriously not computer savvy. TSheets had it all.

Cons

We are in the process of migrating off of Quickbooks Time. After striving for 9 months to fix all of the holes in the app we've realized that glitches and problems are occurring at a quicker pace than we are able to solve them.

AUTHENTICATION NIGHTMARES
Several Months ago Intuit took over the user login tool without any notice, causing approximately 50% of our 42 employees to be suddenly locked out of their time app. We learned about it at 6am when simultaneously 20 employees contacted management with Time app problems. After a couple of weeks of intensive daily support (and no help from the Time support center) we managed to put MOST of the login issues to bed, but to this day we still have accounts logging out of their mobile app automatically every day.

POOR SUPPORT
If you're having a technical issue, or God forbid a syncing issue with Quickbooks, grab a beer and kick back because you'll be on the phone for a couple of hours, and likely re-routed to (I kid you not) 7-8 different departments before finally having your call dropped. And no, you may give them a call-back number but they will not call you back when your call is dropped.

CLOCKS EMPLOYEES OUT ON ITS OWN/DELETES TIME LOGS
Quickbooks Time automatically clocks our employees out, deletes time logs, and at the end of a shift when they go to clock out, shows that they never clocked in for the day. Several employees have reported "I went to clock out and all it shows I clocked in for the day was my lunch break."

I Love TSheets - is the best thing since sliced bread :)

Reviewed on 2016/09/14

Pros

It's incredibly user friendly. We have a complex company setup, our needs are very lengthy, but no matter what we've thrown at them... they have catered to us and made it work! The platform is flexible enough to seamlessly fit our needs. The few hurdles we've faced were easily overcome. The main problems we have run into were issues with syncing TSheets data into Quickbooks (where we run our payroll). Their service reps are knowledgeable, patient, and they truly do take the time to see it all the way through. I am so beyond impressed with their program AND their staff. I can recall one particular call that was difficult, and this is within the first week of signing up. This rep went so far above what my expectations were. They 3-way called Quickbooks tech support to get to the bottom of it for me! We spent an hour and a half on the phone, the Tsheets service rep was relentless in getting my problem resolved! They were professional, funny, and made the whole experience a positive one - even though it was very frustrating for me. A little background to the situation - I had already called TSheets and the initial rep I spoke to said the problem isn't with their system, it is an issue with Quickbooks so that's who we need to call. So I did, I called QB tech support several times and wasn't getting anywhere, despite being passed around to different people and departments. So I decided to call TSheets again to see if there was a creative way to work around the particular problem we had. And that's precisely what we did. They did a screen share for me, and walked me through adjusting my Quickbooks settings. Who does that?! Wow, I've never ever experienced that kind of professionalism. Here a TSheets rep was more savvy in Quickbooks than the actual Quickbooks support people. I couldn't believe it! I am beyond impressed with these people. Instead of getting passed around to different people, getting hung up on, or being rushed off the phone because your question is too complicated or unique, they literally treat you like you're the most important client to them. Each and every time. It's amazing! I promise, the hype you read about Tsheets is 100% legitimate. I love them!

Cons

I wish we had a single account rep that managed our company's account... however, even though we call a toll free number, the system is simple and quick. It isn't like most other places where you must press 5 buttons and listen to multiple, lengthy menus before getting to talk to a human. You literally press one button and within 20 seconds someone answers the phone. And that same person who answered is the one who will walk you through the troubleshooting of whatever your issue is. Their cross-training is remarkable. I've never experienced such an easy system! I really am blown away. I've personally called about a half a dozen times and spoken to different people each time, and every single one of them knew what they were talking about and were very, very helpful! My main disappointment is I prefer having a single go-to person that I can email instead of hopping on the phone. But that's a small price to pay because either way, their kick-ass team caters to us and it's pretty awesome!

Tracking Time & Projects with TSheets

Reviewed on 2019/09/17

We just completed our first round of invoicing since using TSheets company wide and find that the project break down reporting have made the switch from another time clocking app to TSheets completely worth the transition. We look forward to further customizing and using TSheets for our company that best suit our needs.

Pros

So far we really like the project reporting and are looking forward to start using TSheets to help automatic invoicing in Quickbooks. I am in the office use the time clocking features from my computer and find it very easy to use. Of course bugs come with any new program you use whether on your end or the developers. The great thing about TSheets is the customer support - I have yet to have a bad experience and have made multiple phone calls or chat discussions.

Cons

So far the one glitch we wish was easier is adding Breaks. It would be super helpful to be able to add or edit your break time from the time sheet editor box. Customer support has acknowledged this and say they also run into this issue.

Price Increase???

Reviewed on 2020/03/06

In the beginning it was good. It did what we needed and the service was great. Then they got rid of their great service staff and increased their prices by double and it got more glitchy over time, not better. Too bad. lots of potential here. And for such a big company like Intuit to purchase TSheets and then cut back on quality and service and increase prices seems like an indication of their business practices. shame :(

Pros

At the beginning we had an account manager who was super helpful and did everything she could to get the software to how we needed it. We like how it works with QB and it has the functions we needed.

Cons

It would randomly clock employees out for no reason.
When an employee would clock out, sometimes it would keep them clocked in.
We had an amazing account manager, then with no heads up, i emailed her one day and got a returned email. I called them and they told me she no longer works for the company. I asked who my new account manager was and they said they no longer provide one and that i have to go through their chat system. It made troubleshooting and customizing impossible.
We got an email the other day stating that they are increasing their prices by double. We were paying a $20 base fee and $5 per user. Now its going to be $30 base fee and $10 per user. WTH! Its barley worth the $5 per user. You also have to pay extra for a lot of the add ons. This is why we're leaving this system. It feels like once they have you hooked, they keep adding costs. That or they are going to dissolve TSheets and integrate something into QB then charge a premium. That sounds more like something they'd do.

Achieve more in no time.

Overall, my experience with QuickBooks Time has been highly positive, and I would highly recommend it to other businesses looking to streamline their HR processes.

Pros

QuickBooks Time software is a game-changer for businesses looking to streamline their time tracking and payroll processes. One of the things I loved most about this software is its user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate and use. The integration with other QuickBooks products is seamless, allowing for efficient syncing of employee data and payroll information. The mobile app is another standout feature, providing employees with the flexibility to clock in and out, track their hours, and request time off from anywhere. With robust reporting capabilities, it's easy to generate customized reports on employee hours, overtime, and PTO, which is a huge time-saver. Overall, QuickBooks Time software is an excellent tool that will save businesses time and money while improving their overall efficiency.

Cons

I have experienced occasional glitches and delays when syncing data with other QuickBooks products, which can be frustrating. Additionally, i occasionally find difficulty with customer support, although these issues appear to be rare. Despite these minor drawbacks, QuickBooks Time software is still a top choice for businesses looking to streamline their time tracking and payroll processes, thanks to its user-friendly interface, robust reporting capabilities, and seamless integration with other QuickBooks products.

Buyer beware --- never ever sync QB Time with QB Online Payroll

Reviewed on 2022/03/16

Pros

We have been using T-Sheets (old name) for years and loved its ease of use and excellent customer service. It gets high marks for the user-friendly mobile app and timesheet reports.

Cons

The sync with QuickBooks Online Payroll has been a complete disaster for our company. We had an existing QuickBooks Time account that was used by hourly employees out in the field, and their salaried managers for timesheet approval. Work emails were used to sign in to this. When we merged with QB Online payroll (in which employees use their personal emails to access paystubs and tax documents), duplicate employees were created on both sides. There is no way to update an email address in QB Time once you sync with payroll. And if you inactivate the QB time user in payroll, they are no longer able to access QB Time. Customer support on both sides admitted there was no solution to this, and they also said once you sync the two, there is no going back! We now have duplicate employees on both sides and get daily warnings that we haven't processed payroll for the duplicates. We are now looking into other options for QB Time so we can process our payroll correctly. We're devastated we can no longer use the software we've loved for years because of this unfortunate integration.
