Overall, we have been very happy with Docusign as the return on investment has exceeded expectations by reducing printing costs, and reducing time spent in having to print, capture the signature, scan the document in, etc.

Pros

Docusign is very user friendly, anyone in our company can use it.

Cons

On the expensive side, but it is offset by cost savings in time and materials.

Docusign helped us transition from paper-based processes to electronic paper filling and signing, so we are thankful for that.
Once transparency with envelopes left was taken away we are starting to wind down our usage of Docusign and have implemented other solutions that are more cost effective and transparent.

Pros

User friendly for less tech-savvy individuals to easily add individual documents to an already created envelope templates.
Dropping fields into forms is easy and seamless.
Renaming fields to pre-fill the same field on a different form within the envelope

Cons

Cost - this service was very expensive compared to other subscription-based models.
Voided envelopes were deducted from the overall envelope allotment.
Was unable to see how many envelopes were left out of total amount purchased, this ability was available and then removed. I was told to ask customer service, then received the wrong information from customer service for this request, then I was told by customer service to obtain the information from my sales representative. This ability was taken away, it should be readily available.

By seamlessly integrating Docusign with all our systems, we have been able to gain more organizational capabilities and manage the signing of contracts and invoices with the relevant parties transparently.

Pros

I loved how Docusign made it easy for us to capture digital signatures from clients, I loved how it organizes the records of issued documents to ensure accurate tracking. I loved how Docusign automatically documents the receipt of the other party with the time and date. It is great that preparing any document for signature is very easy, I loved how we can easily modify the fields in any document used according to the new requirements.

Cons

Docusign is flawless, easy to use, some templates are difficult to customize to our requirements.

Our experience with DocuSign was awful. It's so bad that we're moving to another software early, even though we will be paying for this contract for another year. We're considering it a sunk cost and moving on.

Pros

Signers found it easy to use, we never had a complaint from people we sent documents to.

Cons

The Docusign Interface is truly awful. They made us pay for training, but then dumped us into their "legacy" system. We could not easily view documents that other users had sent. We had to search through the other user account, search through individual sections of "Waiting for Others" "Completed" etc. You couldn't just search for the recipient name and find what you were looking for. There was no way to see how many envelopes we had left. When we tried to contact support, it was more than 5 business days before we received a response, and we had to follow up to get that. You can't cancel out of your contract or refund unused envelopes on a corporate contract. Docusign is so bad that we have decided to move on to another program and eat the cost of the unused envelopes. Their pricing on corporate accounts is not particularly competitive.

Pros

Overall, I enjoy using Docusign. It has helped meet the needs of a school special education department. The department uses it effectively to gather signatures on legal documents. The program tracks the signatures and saves documents for you, including the date it was created. This is very helpful for legal compliance.

Great platform but can be too robust if you need just a simple e signature tool.
If you need automations, sms deliverability, additional alert frequency, and certain security settings, then docusign is worth looking at

Pros

Their security level is top tier with activity tracking and more automations.
You can even collect payments at time of signature. It's filled with a bunch of features and integration

Cons

At one point, we had an issue with envelopes, because we have two lines of business. Though I didn't handle this matter personally, I understood it to be a challenging experience with customer service before finally reaching resolution.

Pros

It's very easy to upload different templates of our service agreement to ensure we remain organized, and use the appropriate terms for the intended demographic we're doing business in.

Cons

There needs to be a way to organize finalized documents. Currently, we're pulling old documents out of the emails that were used to sign them.
