About Microsoft Viva Engage
Microsoft Viva Engage is an enterprise social network with a full range of features to improve company-wide communication. Yammer allows users to create groups, providing a collaborative workspace for teams to organize project deadlines, share files and gather feedback. Businesses can use Microsoft Viva Engage to identify experts in the company and find the relevant people within the Member Directory. Company profiles can be setup for each user with a photo, basic info and and information on skill sets.
Microsoft Viva Engage can be used as an instant messaging device, with a place to conduct private conversations among 2 or more people. Users can see who is online at any time and use the @mention function to loop in more people to the conversation. The Microsoft Viva Engage inbox provides a place to store and organize all communications. Follow all @mentions, group announcements, conversations and private messages. The Priority Messages tool allows users to deal with the most important communications first.

I have received hundreds if not thousands of junk notification emails, every time having to waste time deleting the emails and going to the group to unsubscribe.
Pros
It is very simple to share electronic content in a group of users with colleagues simply by joining the group, via the web interface, and posting when of interest
Cons
Anyone can subscribe you to a group's notifications and, if you're not interested, a lot of junk email arrives

A easy microsoft tool for communication, networking

Pros
I like that is easy to use, you can get notifications. We have two communication portals in the company and everything that is posted on yammer gets 3x more views and interactions.
Cons
I guess it´s not that innovative, it could have more features to use in the forums, but I think its simplicity is its main strength
