Fieldwire is a web and mobile construction software solution for efficient task management, plan viewing and versioning, issue tracking, and team collaboration from the job site to the office. Access Free, Pro, Business, or Enterprise tier accounts within your web browser, while connecting to your project data via smartphones and tablets on our iOS and Android mobile apps. Share optimized, version-controlled floor plans and blueprints in real time, enabling contractor teams in the field to view and add annotations, markups and hyperlinks all while offline. When they reconnect to the internet, all that new data will sync to all devices and users connected to the project.
Take progress photos, add checklists and hyperlinks, export your as-built drawings, and leverage useful reporting features to conduct status updates, inspections, and punch lists. Issue tracking tools organize problems by trades and location, making them easy to submit via walkthroughs and assign them to the proper subcontractor. Aid crucial inspections with pre-loaded categories and checklist templates, and leave precise markups, including measurements, directly on your floor plans. And when you upload new versions of your drawing sets, our software will overlap those current sheets over the older ones so you can easily reference each version.

Pros
Highly visual interface (share plans, markups, version control) between back office and field ensures a higher degree of alignment and understanding of task to be done and quality control of task completion.
Cons
The focus is on the creation of plans rather than projects, lack of single-sign-on, the layout of the screen can take some getting used to and with the large volume of information available.

Digitalization as its best yet (for construction ofc)

Pros
I really dont have information about IT stuff, but this software is reachable from every device and everywhere very fast. That is important. We are working in a 50FL tower which has no signal in its core, but anyways, when the tablet reaches a signal, all things done offline is sychronized for everybody at that sec. Which saves a lot of time and builds confidence
Cons
Improvements could be made by user, like open softwares, the menus may become much more editable.

I will preface my review by stating that I primarily use Fieldwire via the desktop browswer...
I will preface my review by stating that I primarily use Fieldwire via the desktop browswer interface. My coworkers use the tablet app in the field and I coordinate with them on my desktop PC at my office.
The browser interface leaves much to be desired. Navigating the plan sheets can be clunky and making markups is tedious. The markup features are rather limited (compared to software such as Bluebeam).
The ability to organize files in each project is welcomed but the automatic revisioning feature is not the greatest, though it is functional.
That being said, my coworkers rely on the software while on the jobsite. We use the "Tasks" feature to organize and assign the work. We even have a project for our internal shop tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.
Overall, this is a vital piece of software for our business. It is not perfect and there are many things that it cannot do. But we have yet to find a better alternative.

Wish you could copy and paste templates and forms after a company has been set up.

Pros
I love the precision picture taking, "on the spot" notifications for every member when changes to projects are made, easy note-taking on top of plans and task managing.
Cons
Simply that I haven't had the time to go through it all already! Too much work!
