Escapia is a cloud-based vacation rental software, offering users assistance with managing reservations, accounting, property listings and distribution, and more.
Escapia’s reservation management system incorporates lead management, front desk operations, and guest reviews. Users can view full complete guest histories, including all correspondence, extend reservations directly from within the calendar, produce customizable reservation reports, and let Escapia automatically generate reservation confirmations to send out to guests. Business performance can be viewed on customizable business dashboards, which include daily activity widgets such as check-ins and check-outs, open work orders, unread inquiries, and total rent booked, and can produce reports and graphs for year-to-year comparisons of inquiries, bookings, and income.
Escapia’s rate engine enables property managers to set up and adjust variable rates, special offers, discount plans, flexible charges and add-ons. Users can enter rates in bulk, and test pricing plans before activation, as well as using daily, weekly, and monthly rate calculation. Rates are automatically updated across Escapia and all other partner sites a property is listed on.
Escapia partners with multiple property listing and distribution sites, including Vrbo, BookingPal, and FlipKey, with users able to choose where their properties are promoted. Availability calendars are automatically updated in real time between listing sites and users’ own records. Guest reviews of properties can also be automatically distributed from Escapia to selected partner channel sites.

As our business has grown the software has made our day to day work easier and more streamlined. Escapia has been great about adding and updating the product on a regular basis with customers imput.
Pros
We have used Escapia for years and have seen a lot of changes along the way. The software is easy to use and train new employees on.
Cons
Over the years we have found the the customer service to be challenging and the software does not handle long term rentals easily.

Medicore Software In A Sea Of Mediocrity

Pros
Tries very hard to be an all in one solution, direct integration with HomeAway/VRBO, good customer support, the team is clearly working hard on improvements but it's a bit like trying to push a dinosaur up a hill.
Cons
Very disjointed, I often refer to it as frankenstein because it feels like all the modules were poorly connected together. Does not have an open API so integration with other systems is limited. Overall the software is very old and outdated and while improvements are on the horizon, they are coming slowly and in the meanwhile my patience is running out.

It syncs perfectly with our largest producer of reservations; Vrbo!

Overall, it has been a reliable solution that meets our needs. The software generally works well and provides most of the functionality we require. When it’s running smoothly, it’s a great tool.
Cons
Like any platform, it’s not without its challenges. We’ve encountered occasional bugs and performance hiccups, and sometimes support response times could be improved. However, the team seems committed to making improvements.
