About Marketman

MarketMan is a cloud-based inventory management software platform that helps restaurants manage all of their back-of-house processes and supplier ordering. The solution is designed for full and quick service restaurants, bars, coffee shops, food trucks, and bakeries. MarketMan helps small to large businesses manage the buying of goods and supplies, update and track product catalogs and prices, and facilitate delivery requests and accounting.

The automated supply ordering feature within MarketMan's purchasing module allows users to reduce errors and eliminate faxes, phone calls and manual data entry. Orders can be placed and managed using any computer or mobile device connected to the internet. MarketMan also aids users in managing food costs and budgets including setting purchasing limits.

MarketMan includes an inventory module that enables users to manage their complete inventory in the cloud. The solution keeps track of every movement in real-time, including inventory status updates and automatic alerts and reminders. Users can set budget limits and delivery days, as well as track shorts, credits, subs and any billing irregularities.

Suppliers using MarketMan can streamline their entire order handling process and have orders automatically entered into their ERP system. The solution eliminates hand written orders that can be prone to errors, and generates reports for improved decision making. Suppliers can also setup a product catalog with images, barcodes, prices, and more.

Users can place orders to suppliers using MarketMan as an order guide / order sheet from the restaurant, warehouse or on-the-go via PC, tablet or mobile app.

MarketMan helps reduce costly errors by enabling users to track price changes, inventory subs and shorts, and control inventory with real-time updates.

Users can setup real-time status alerts via text and email to gain more control over the restaurant's inventory, as well as track waste and theft.

The MarketMan solution completely eliminates paper ordering and enables users to setup vendors and inventory items for placing B2B orders electronically.

MarketMan software integrates with various third-party POS and ERP systems, as well as QuickBooks for accounting.

Pros

I liked that it is WebBased and I can access it where ever I am at. The ease of use is great and I have been recommending it. I am exited to see the new Menu feature.

Cons

I wish I could calculate the value of my stock at any given point in time. I also would like for the costs of goods sold would take into consideration the value of stock. The app functionalities should also be more broad.

Pros

After you set up your products and storage areas, the ease of use for tracking inventory is awesome.

Cons

The actual setting up and adding new items is a little time consuming. Wish they was a “copy” element of a current in stock item

With MarketMan, we are able to monitor our Food and Beverage cost weekly to adapt our purchasing. It is also a great tool to negotiate best rates with our suppliers.

Pros

Easy to use and to understand for our team / Full of reports really useful / Making orders is easy and really flexible for our supplier / MarketMan Team is constantly listening and improving the software.

Cons

No way to manage internal transfer : transferring (in a simple way) a bottle of wine from our bar to our kitchen is impossible.
No acces of all our product on their mobile : would be really useful when speaking with a supplier outside of the restaurant
