AmpliFund Handles the Transformation of Grant Reporting

Pros
AmpliFund is the only truly purpose-built solution for grant management and reporting. This means only AmpliFund is capable of managing the data elements of grant management and reporting in an individual and granular fashion, rather than assuming that those data elements must be conveyed within a document-based forms. A federal pilot program using AmpliFund demonstrated that liberating the data elements of grant management and reporting from document-based forms reduces manual transcription, eliminates uncertainty, and reduces cost. As the federal government transforms federal grant reporting by mandating standardized data elements under the DATA Act, the GREAT Act, and the President's Management Agenda, AmpliFund can allow both grantor agencies and grantees to realize the benefits of data-driven insights and automation that all three of those policy changes envision.
Cons
The main drawback of a purpose-built solution is that it will have a steeper learning curve than solutions which simply duplicate the workflow of the paperwork that they replace. Users must start thinking in terms of data elements instead of forms.

Pros
AmpliFund has greatly enhanced our ability to research, pursue, and track grant documentation and details as an institution. In the past audit compliance was a challenge, with key documents and information scattered across an array of spreadsheets, emails, and individual file folders. With AmpliFund’s simple interface and great organizational tools it is all now housed in one central point, our auditors loved it!
Cons
The document management component could be clunky as an interface at times.

Tech support was not responsive. Their initial response was to always give you the instructions in their printed material even if you indicated that you had tried this solution and it had failed. Several time we described specific issues we had encountered and were told the software couldn't be doing what we were saying--deleting information on its own, changing currency values. However when we were finally able to do a screen share with their tech support and showed them what we were seeing they finally believed us. The tech support was slow to respond particularly when issues were elevated to a higher level. There was no progress reports on the issues and when they finally did get back to us more than a month later we would have to figure out which issue they were finally addressing. The company CEO, when we were finally able to communicate with him was very responsive and wanted to correct the situation but even after that the sales person still did not clearly comprehend how bad the product had been for us to use. I would not recommend this company or this product.
Pros
The only functional piece of this software that really helped our agency was the application process. We had been doing paper applications and Amplifund did allow us to make this process all online and much more streamlined. We had some issues with reviewers not having the right permissions and having to call several times to get this resolved but this was a beneficial feature.
Cons
First the proposal and the sales people assured our agency that the specific functionality the we were require the software to have--mainly being able to produce a report which would include subrecipient expenses being rolled up into the parent grant budget reports. This was never available and we were promised that we would have this 2.5 years ago. Next we were told that the application we were taking for subawards would automatically be connected to the parent grant so that information put into one system would be reflected in the other. Also this did not happen until the second round of applications. The first applications had to re-entered into the grant management system by hand. Finally the grant management module never worked for us. We were never able to create any of the reports that were suppose to be available. When we created reports according to their instructions no data was shown. When they made system upgrade information was lost or made inaccessible following the upgrade. Amplifund in general actually made it more difficult for us to manage our subrecipient awards that the excel spreadsheet we had been using. I would not recommend this product for managing subrecipients

In my opinion the best part of my experience so far is our Product Trainer Christy Pellegrino! She is responsive to questions and has provided training specialized to the different users that our organization will have using the system. All trainings were recorded so that I could provide the recordings to any users that could not attend the "live" training session. I found that we are moving in a direction that I control not Amplifund........they let me call the shots. Great customer service which is hard to find in today's fast moving web based world. This system is to manage grants........from start to finish. It includes the Grantfinder system that is invaluable in finding funding for our organization. If you are looking for a system I would recommend this system for managing your every need for your grants. Aloha!

Pros
I had the pleasure of working with the Streamlink team a few years ago on a pilot program with the U.S. Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board. We needed to collect information on existing grant programs with non-profits, and Streamlink provided access to the exact audience we needed. The software was easily configurable to meet our needs, and the Streamlink team could not have been easier to work with.
