PinPoint is an Electronic Document Management System available as a web-hosted SaaS or as an on-premise Windows Server installation. Very much with an emphasis on the centralization of important business documents, accessible on any device, PinPoint is fundamentally an MS SQL database fronted by a browser-based interface. Documents are filed into the system automatically and stored in native file format, generating image previews as PDFs to accept any comments and markups. Files can be then be checked out to make more significant edits from within the native application, while authorized users can export documents at any time as required.
Batch processing streamlines capture and retrieval operations, with PinPoint automatically trawling through network folders to find and file documents. Paper or electronic forms can be manually scanned and imported, using intelligent features to determine where documents should reside based on content type or file metadata. Workflow is aided by notification emails and the ability to run “retrieval queries” to grab popular documents, while version controls ensure content is accurate and open to audit.
I've been wanting to make some recommendations for changes in PinPoint, so thank you for this opportunity to do so! I have seen some great things come out of your company. Thank you for constantly improving on what you have created, and for giving us the opportunity to have a voice in those changes.
We started out with eDrawer and moved to PinPoint. Each software program has it's plus and minuses. We found PinPoint to be more user friendly. But, we liked the way eDrawer let us personally organize and view things better than PinPoint.
One feature that I would like to see implemented in PinPoint is the ability to export an entire Folder's documents together. Currently if I want to export a case (folder), I have to export one sub-divider at a time. I would like to be able to export the entire folder and have the documents separated into their sub-folders in the hierarchy. This would make for a clean and easily understandable export in one swoop.
Also, folks find it confusing when the document opens in a separate window. I would recommend that the document open in the same window, and when you click "save" or complete your workflow, it would take you back to the previous screen you were on (in that same window) and refresh that screen. If you want to open several documents and still leave that page (window) open, then you could hit "Control" when you open the document so that it opens in a new window.
Speaking of workflow, when folks click on the "workflow complete" button, they don't see the pop-up box to complete the action because they have to scroll up to see it. I would recommend either moving where you have the "workflow complete" button to the top of the screen (where the pop-up window appears), or have the pop-up window appear next to where the "workflow complete" button is at the bottom of the screen.

It's a fully featured EDMS with Digital + Electronic Signatures + PDF Forms support. It can also read and extract text from PDF Files if configured. It is completely web-based and you can scan images directly into your web browser and save. They keep bugs away from their product and customer service is fast and on point with website chat feature to ticket submission.

helps with document management and online backups of important data files. 3rd party integrations are inbuilt and helps with adding more functionality and features.
PinPoint let us manage documents online and keep revisions. Versioning has been the great feature since we can recover to previous revisions easily. The documents can be shared and sync'd with various devices.
1. cloud has always been up when I needed access to my documents
2. integration with drop box is easy
3. always on the latest version - no patches or upgrades needed
4. Excellent response time to locate and view documents
1. No way to reorder the columns based on a users preference
if not using a field(doc status), cannot move to far right and allow the meta data fields you need to be in main area of screen.
2. cannot hide column (like doc#) - since it is of no use to a user
3. cannot sort a column - ascending or descending
4. after a migration - folders are not in alphabetical order
5. some screens are full of many functions (powerful) but also too much for some users.
(provide some user preference settings to simply user interface )
6. moving a doc from one folder to another - should keep current divider as default, instead of making user reselect divider
7. if using the NAMED dropbox folder, no easy way to copy this prefix from the pinpoint display

The product is easy to use once it is set up to your specific needs. The customer service at LSSP has been fantastic. They respond quickly and provide personal attention and dedication to solve any problems encountered.
This is very specific, but when you go to search on certain screens, the system doesn't allow you to just click the back arrow to return to the search screen. You have to go through a couple of steps from the main menu to get back to the search screen. Also, the way the alphabetical folders show on the screen is a little backwards.
