CMMS for maintenance scheduling, tracking, and reporting

About MPulse

MPulse is a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) designed for use by equipment and facilities maintenance companies, to assist with the scheduling, tracking, and reporting of maintenance. Four different editions of MPulse are available to suit the needs of different businesses, from the most basic, Bronze, which covers only equipment and buildings, up to the most advanced, Platinum, which can be used for all asset types, including equipment, buildings, rooms, grounds, and vehicles, and supports condition-based maintenance as standard.

MPulse automates the scheduling of preventative maintenance tasks, with the option to base maintenance intervals on the condition of assets or parts. Labor requirements can be estimated for preventative maintenance tasks, and maintenance can be scheduled for off hours through tracking equipment usage times. Work orders are automatically generated for scheduled tasks, and can also be received from any number of requesters, or entered manually. Maintenance requests can be approved, scheduled, and assigned to technicians for completion, with the option to automate approvals and assignments, and the ability to send customized automated confirmations to requesters, technicians, and managers. Repair times can be tracked to determine employee efficiency for specific tasks, and create organizational benchmarks.

A basic inventory management system is included in all editions of MPulse, enabling users to link items and their costs to specific assets or work orders, and track the consumption of parts. Advanced inventory control is included in the Gold and Platinum editions, allowing users to manage storage location, stocking levels, reorder points, and supplier information, with the ability to track multiple units of measurement for a single item.

Key benefits of MPulse

  • Preventative maintenance tasks are automatically scheduled, based on part or asset condition, with work orders triggered automatically.

  • Work orders can be generated by requesters, or requests can be entered manually, and then be approved, scheduled, assigned, and managed, with the ability to automate approvals and assignments.

  • Automated confirmations for maintenance requests are customizable and can be sent to technicians, requesters, and managers.

  • Inventory items can be tracked, with consumption recorded, with the ability to link parts and their associated costs with assets and work orders.

  • Standard and custom reports, charts, and graphs can be produced, for status reporting, and summary or detailed reports of maintenance work.

I might have missed it, but there should be a help feature outlining the traps. There should be a more robust user generated reporting method for seasoned administrators.

    Pros

Flexible, fairly easy to use, great customer support during implementation and customization and continuing after.

    Cons

No easy way to customize reporting without having MPulse techs do it for you. No way to for user to accomplish mass input or mass correction. Some quirky behaviors

I have enjoyed building our CMMS program with the Mpulse program. It has served us well and I believe that even though we have grown to a point where we are requiring a little more of the program than it is typically used for; V7 will help us to implement the newer and larger uses that we are now considering.

    Pros

    Wonderful and Helpful Support Center

    Cons

Could use more flexibility with list views; however, believe that V7 will remedy this.
