compACT Overview

What is compACT?

compACT is a compensation management solution designed for small businesses who use spreadsheets for their compensation planning, and mid-tier to enterprise companies who have complex pay processes in place. Salary reviews, incentives, and bonuses can be managed through a component-based system covering base salaries, performance reviews, salary increases, short-term and long-term incentives.

Salary administration in compACT includes merit pay, such as base pay, promotions, and equity adjustments; short-term incentives, for individuals, groups, departments, divisions, or project teams; compensation basics such as sign-on bonuses, retention bonuses, and overtime; and long-term incentives, including stock options and performance shares.

compACT allows users to set guidelines, business rules, and restrictions for multiple salary and incentive plans, with real-time insight into current budgets and usage. Warning messages can be customized, and users can override individual exceptions to business rules if necessary. Data is provided to users based on their assigned roles, with the ability to restrict user permissions on a per-field basis. Workflow approval processes can be created and modified, and full audit trails are created for all compensation activity.

Superior Compensation Admin Software for Base Salary, Bonus, Stock, Long/Short Term Incentives

The software application is secure, flexible, and highly configurable for use in administration of complex "company-specific" compensation programs and budgets. Nice reporting and analytics are provided and are highly customizable for individual programs. Customer support staff is very knowledgeable in both compensation program design and project management and guided us expertly through the requirements gathering, development, UAT and implementation, "go-live" stages. Leadership was genuinely pleased with the overall value added by this software to our organization; the increase in tools and information available to managers to make better compensation decisions while reducing the overall cost of compensation plan administration.

Compensation and Benefits being one of the core areas of Human capital Management, many organizations still struggle with complex spread sheets and spend countless man hours each year. CompACT seems to plug that gap with a very flexible and easy to use tool that can seamlessly integrate with an existing HR system. Moreover, CompACT covers all areas pertaining to Comp and Ben administration from salary to bonus to stock option and so on. Personally, I consider CompACT to be a tool that is quite important to my decision making as it gives me immediate feedback on impact of different scenarios thereby guiding in making informed decisions that benefit the organization and its Human Assets.
