Reply Overview
What is Reply?
Reply is multichannel sales engagement platform which automates personal email outreach, calls, and tasks, while Sales can focus on what really matters - closing deals. Reply helps Sales teams orchestrate a mix of automated and manual communication touchpoints across multiple channels and create personalized sales journeys according to their sales playbooks.
Reply’s new functionalities now cover the six stages of a sales cycle and automate a majority of manual, routine tasks. The first stage - sales prospecting is now easier due to the new Chrome extension, which allows users to discover prospects in Gmail, LinkedIn, or browsing the web. The new extension allows users to find emails right from the plugin and push prospects to multichannel sequences in Reply. The Chrome extension brings context, communication history and the ability to reach out via email, calls or social networks to a prospect.
The lead nurturing, qualified sales opportunity and retention stages are covered with Reply’s new multichannel sequences, which allows users to combine personal emails and follow-ups, cloud calls, tasks, and social touchpoints as steps in a sequence and automate the process of engaging leads and customers according to a sales playbook. Due to the new integration with Vidyard, the leading video platform for business, Reply users can add personalized videos to emails and increase prospect engagement.
Based on the steps in a multichannel sequence, Reply automatically generates daily tasks available in the Chrome extension’s Task dashboard. Users can create additional tasks manually connected to the lead qualification and negotiation stages, execute these tasks, make calls, leave notes, log call results, and sync the data with a CRM.
Reply includes a sequence wizard through which users can create and manage multiple sequences. Users can add steps to create a sequence of outreach and follow-up emails, calls, social touches, and tasks, customize the subjects and body text of messages, schedule emails to be delivered at peak hours, and select contacts to be included in the email list, before reviewing and launching their campaign.
Contacts can be added from imported lists, or identified within the app itself, with users able to create ideal prospect profiles and search for contacts based on a range of values from within these profiles, such as company, title, experience, and more.
Reply also offers automatic response classification, sorting responses within the inbox according to their content. Users can view how many respondents are interested or not interested at a glance, and can customize the way responses are sorted by renaming the email statuses. Outbound emails can be tracked, giving users insight into delivery, open, click, and response rates, as well as any bounced emails and ‘Out of Office’ replies. Email copy can be A/B tested to optimize campaign performance, and reports can be delivered to users’ inboxes daily, weekly, or monthly.

Make your emails reach your customers
We use Reply.io for following up our website leads. We have tried several instruments (SendGrid, MailChimp, HubSpot emails) before switching to Reply.io and so far it was the best instrument. Our response rate has increased by almost 10% due to Reply.io.
Painful and unusable
Honestly, we are looking for a new vendor for this service, and would recommend anyone looking for this type of service to find another one. I never write reviews for anything, and my experience with Reply has finally pushed me to be angry enough to do so.

Make your emails reach your customers
Pros
- because there is not a lot of HTML involved in the formatting of the email, the letters get directly into the inbox (unlike Promotions or Spam), which is the main benefit of this emailing instrument.
- it's convenient to create email chains and track notifications and responses.
- there are team plans for collaboration and you can see the activity of your colleagues, which helps a lot when you need to create statistics for the marketing department.
Cons
- the absence of the HTML formatting is both a blessing and a curse. It is hard to highlight things in the email sometimes, but it pays off well.
Game changer for outbound marketing
Pros
TL,DR = 10/10
Huge time saver
Good safeguards in place - the system does a good job at preventing you from having a contact be in multiple campaigns, excludes invalid emails (see below), etc
Awesome customer success team
Value added integrations - the built-in email validation add-on function has saved us a ton of time (note small extra cost at a competitive rate to other validation solutions). Reply integrates well with our CRM too
Flexible to add/delete different email addresses
Roadmap: Product has improved in year we've been using it (example: Outbox report on schedule/# of emails being sent in future)
Cons
Very little dislikes at all.
Maybe some small tweak to the UX or some reports I only look at infrequently....but definitely nothing material.

Pros
The price of the software is reasonable.
Cons
There are so many areas in this software where something that should be easy to do ends up taking five times longer than it should. Whether it's loading data, managing people and campaigns, or logging responses you can expect a lengthy, annoying and confusing process based on an architecture that must have been devised by Byzantine Kafka enthusiasts.
When you reach out to support they are prompt in responding, but totally unhelpful. They mainly just point out what you've usually already figured out by then - that the only way you are going to get the very reasonable thing you are trying to do done is going to be incredibly time consuming, and draining.
My favorite (said sarcastically) support guy there is one who, after telling you that you will spend the next three hours updating contacts one-by-one because the system is incompetently built, will then send you silly thumbs up gifs. Now, I enjoy a good gif as much as the next guy, but there is a time and place, and sending a funny gif to someone you've just doomed to several hours of inane data entry is next-level tone deaf.
Cool stuff for cold email outreach
Pros
Easy and intuitive design;
No worries about getting to spam lists;
It's not ESP - it's just a tool that automates your sales process
Great support
Cons
For early stages price pretty high. But it`s shouldn't be Reply`s problem )
Sometimes there are prospects in my list with passing variables. Reply stops such campaigns. I wish it stops only those incomplete leads. Because it's not an issue to search them in the whole pack without any filter

I couldn't do my job without it!
Pros
I like how easy it is to use for all my email campaigns. It works great for both cold-email prospecting campaigns and for post-call follow-up reminders. It provides me with a constant flow of leads and produces real results for our sales team. I use the metrics to focus on prospects who are engaging with my emails. I also use the tasks to convert more leads.
Cons
Better duplicate name recognition because I sometimes add prospects twice. Everything else is great!
