About Workteam Time & Attendance

Workteam Time & Attendance is an employee vacation and time off tracking system that offers SMBs a single and centralized platform from which to request, track and approve time off. Incorporating a team calendar, configurable time off policies and request routing capabilities as well as approval control and email notifications, Workteam aims to provide users, and managers, with a simple and effective absence and leave tracking solution.

Workteam also provides features that enable you to track the hours worked by your employees. Staff may be prompted by Workteam to complete a weekly timesheet, enabling them to confirm the hours that they have worked each week. This can be used for both flexible hours workers - to output for payroll and to automatically calculate vacation accrual - and for regular hours workers for compliance with various regulations, such as the Defence Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

    Great for monitoring small teams time-off, quite customizable and saves time by automatization

    Pros

    - you can customize a lot of things, even per individual employee or a group of employees
    - employees have access to see the time off policies and their available days automaticly
    - setting a lot of rules for teams
    - there is a free version for up to 50 employees

    Cons

    It offers several other functions at the beginning which, if you came just for this is creating a bit of noise

    Today, I was exceptionally pleased when I had a question about how to implement a different way of tracking a unique time off policy our company has implemented. Rep sent back a detailed description of how I could create a policy that fits my needs. Not only did he fix the issue I was having and responded quickly to my request, but I also did not even need to ask him any follow-up questions about setting up the policy because of how detailed and simple he made the instructions to set up the policy. Great employee, I am very happy with the customer service I received. Thanks again!

    We have been using the software for a little over a year and have been satisfied with our subscription.

    Cons

    Occasionally I have noticed some glitches with time off tracking on different screens in the past, but I think those bugs have been fixed.

    It's a simple interface that feels stripped down. It's not pretty, but honestly, I don't want a pretty time tracker or time off calendar. I want one that works - and this one does the job well.

    Pros

    It's simple. There are only ever a couple options on each page.
    Visual calendar layout for individual and team member's time off was nice and easy to read, digest, and remember.
    Free (zero cost) version fir out needs with 20 or so employees, from what I know.
    Quick, easy reporting on time-off requests. Every employee LOVES that.

    Cons

    WAY too many notifications. I still get them.
    We left this as an hour-by-hour tracker (hourly pay employees) because the simplicity created complexity for our accounting department. Likely just differences in systems. Overtime was difficult to report accurately between paychecks.

    Workteam has allowed me to streamline the PTO tracking which has allowed me to spend more time on other tasks allowing me to be more efficient. It has also made it easier for all our employees because the information is all in one place.

    Pros

    This is software has a free function that is easy to use, does what it needs to and has great customer service. This is a software that is for the people, by the people and definately makes tracking and requestiong PTO for our staff so much easier.

    Cons

    I wish that you could request off a specific number of hours off, instead of just half or full day.

    The personal level of customer service is great. At Topcontent.com it's important to us to be able to ask questions and get answers quickly. Also, several improvements have been released since we have been using the system so it's reassuring to see that the company is investing in their system.

    Pros

    Workteam is great for a remote working company like Topcontent.com because you can integrate different teams from around the world on to one platform.

    Cons

    There have been some restrictions or manual workarounds but workteam are always working to improve the system.
