TalentGuard’s Performance Management solution was designed to help small to medium-sized organizations effectively lead, manage, develop, assess, and reward employees. The platform provides basic employee evaluations, as well as robust programs that include competency evaluations, role-based skills, development goals, and corporate objectives.
TalentGuard’s assessment management features allow users to create customized assessments for performance, behaviors, career and succession paths, job responsibilities, and development plans. Performance snapshots capture performance at a set interval throughout the year, (i.e. monthly or quarterly), and provide an automatically generated overall performance score / rating. Rating scales can be customized to fit specific organizational requirements.
Development planning features allow users to create and manage employee development plans based on career aspirations and/or particular competencies that may need development. Plans can include required education, training, certification(s) and more, and can be linked directly to courses in TalentGuard’s learning management system. Users can also build step-by-step corrective action plans that can monitored by the manager and the employee, including coaches or mentors.
Performance Management helps organizations establish cascading goals that align with departments, teams and individuals. Managers can monitor team goals from a single dashboard, employees can add their own goals, and SMART metrics can be applied to help track progress, results, and other activity. The platform supports a variety of methods to assess the goal achievement including numeric ratings, descriptive indicators color scales, descriptors and/or written feedback.

TalentGuard specializes in HR best practices but additionally has partnered with an industry-leading LMS to bring learning management into the HR space. TalentGuard offers certification tracking that will then tie into the LMS(Bridge). They truly have it all. Most of the time you get a company trying to do it all and maybe do one thing well and everything else mediocre. Well, TalentGuard knows their expertise and partners with someone else who has an expertise in the other area to create an exceptional product. Beyond the product, TalentGuard is lead by CEO, who has an immense amount of experience in the HR world. She knows the pain points in HR, understands the software world and she set out to solve a real problem by combining all her passions and abilities. She is an outstanding leader. Beyond the product and Linda, Talentguard is high touch and when you are a customer you have a relationship with them. They help you through the process and are always there for you as you go...and they know you as a person/company.

I would recommend using this tool because it offers deep functionality at an affordable price point and the Customer Success Team is truly focused on our success.
The customer support team is great at finding creative ways to work around some of the product limitations, but there still are product limitations. Be prepared to alter your process slightly to fit their design.
