About TaxSlayer Books
TaxSlayer Books is a cloud-based accounting & bookkeeping solution for small businesses which includes tools for tracking income and expenses, creating invoices, printing vendor checks, managing bills and due payments, preparing tax filings, generating financial reports, and more.
Transactions can be imported into TaxSlayer Books through bank account sync and integration with QuickBooks, removing the need for users to manually enter transaction details. Multiple general ledger cash accounts can be created, and each deposit or expense can be assigned to an account. TaxSlayer Books automatically generates alerts for any transactions which match a bill or invoice already in the system, which users can click to create a payment. Individual transactions which are associated with multiple accounts can be split, with users able to specify the payment breakdown, for example when dealing with a single payment to a company for both labor and materials.
TaxSlayer Books allows users to create and print an unlimited number of customer invoices, create and pay vendor bills, print vendor checks, prepare and print 1099 forms, generate and print employee paychecks, and produce detailed financial reports. TaxSlayer Books 1099/W2 Online also allows users to electronically file W-2, 1099 DIV, 1099 INT, and 1099 MISC forms for an additional fee, with electronic filing of the Federal copy, and PDF copies for State agencies, local agencies, and recipients.

Use Taxslayer to do my taxes.
Reviewed on 2018/02/08
Pros
I like the ability to important tax documents so I don't have to sit there and manually punch in things, on the documents I can. Also TaxSlayer does a great job of guiding you through the process and making sure you don't miss any important details. I felt confident when I submitted.
Cons
At first glance, it can be somewhat overwhelming and if you have over 3+ sources of income, this will take you some time. Some people might prefer doing the old school well and going to a real person but if you have all your documents in digital, this is still a good route.

Pros
Ease of use. Many of our clients use another popular brand of bookkeeping software, but once we show them the features of Taxslayer Books, they usually convert. We love the support we receive, and everything just works.
Cons
Some functions are not intuitive, or require steps that may be "non common sense". This mainly applies to printing some of the reports we use.
