About Oasis Insight
Oasis Insight is a cloud-based client intake and reporting solution designed for food banks, which enables users to track food pantry distributions and generate feeding reports. In order to streamline client intake and reporting, Oasis Insight provides users with a database to manage client and household information, client ID printing, barcode scanning, and digital signature capabilities.
With Oasis Insight, users can create client roadmaps, track client progress and manage client requests and referrals. Custom intake and reports plus pre-populated state and federal forms serve to enhance user productivity and client application management. Oasis Insight’s reporting tools allow users to generate detailed reports and gain insight into community demographics. With case management functionality, users can organize and record case information including assistance, relationships, notes and alerts, and cases can be accessed using simple or advanced search.
Oasis Insight supports event management technology and network bulletins, which allow users to track SNAP events, locations and activities as well as keep everyone up-to-date with announcements. Incorporating an agency directory and agency services index, Oasis Insight enables users to access and store a listing of all agencies, agents and services in their network. Users can manage information safely and securely with 256 bit SSL security, access controls, private groups, and daily data backups.

Search. I have discover when a search brings up nothing, if I add the person’s birth date and search again, it finds the info. Why is this happening?

Pros
I love this software. Checked out a lot of different software programs before choosing this one. I love being able to get info on clients quickly. Some people dont like adding dependents, but it is helpful for me to flag potential duplicate names and addresses
Cons
Sometimes I have trouble printing reports, but the support team is always quick to respond to my problems.

It has allowed us to streamline our data, and made it more accurate and more accessible than the Excel spreadsheets we were using previously. It has also allowed us to enter data a point of service, instead of manually after the fact.
I can't obtain data with multiple inputs - I know the data is there but it's impossible to pull out.
I would like to have a map of where each report is pulled from.
Pros
Customer service is by far the best feature of the software
Cons
I can't pull out the data in the way that I need it; also, the data retrieval methods are confusing. In addition, the data entry fields are not custom to our individual organization's needs (we are using the software contracted with the GBFB )

I work specifically with identification and resolution of duplicate cases. It would be helpful if the case numbers used would appear anyplace the names are written. OI is a good program and works well for our purposes.
Pros
It generally works well although there are times when the program is sluggish.
Cons
The on screen format could use some updating please. The background of the screens for clients is grey and the writing for words in that area is white. It is very difficult to see clearly. In my opinion, a simple writing color change co9uld make it so much easier to read and much clearer. If the writing was darker in color it would be much better.

Overall Oasis is great for the price and need that we have. I would love to see different levels of users and the ability to bulk upload data.
Pros
Oasis allows you to train your staff quickly on features and use. They keep client information safe and secure!
Cons
Customization is pretty limited and reports are sometime slow. Data can't be pulled all together; ex. case report and application report info do not talk to each other.
