Everything about payroll is a nightmare for any business, but more importantly for small business in America. Since we are working throughout many states and cities across the country, OnPay makes this all so simplistic and easy to maintain compliances.
Pros
Simplistic integration with our existing employee database, user friendly to add new employees and contractors, Customer service is exceptional when called upon for help.
Cons
Cost is a bit on the high side, but I attribute this to the outstanding support and ease of use. Both factors which are paramount for our industry and the constant changes from state to state regarding payroll reporting etc.

VVery Poor Customer Service
Pros
It usually works most of the time, but if you lose your authentication device, you are completely lost.
Cons
Disgraceful Service. I had to reset my phone and so was unable to use the 2-factor authorisation app. OnPay refused to reset the security to allow me to pay the employees on time, even though I had all the information about the account and had the same phone number they could have used to call me.

Our go-to payroll software!
Reviewed on 2021/11/09
Pros
The best part about Onpay for us, is not only the ease of use, but the ability to set up Onpay so it maps to Quickbooks Online, so we don't have to make any adjustments later. Also, we are super thankful for Onpay's support as they are always super friendly and make sure any payroll challenges we have are resolved.
Also, we really like the liabilities always balance. We struggled with other software, mainly quickbooks, where there are always odd amounts of payroll liabilities hanging in the account all the time.
Cons
We have an accountant dashboard, and we can't see our invoices directly, we have them sent to us each month. Billing isn't wonky or anything, we just don't have open access to the billing from our side. If it was the client's billing account, their billing activity shows up for them.

Gusto, Rippling, ADP Workforce Now, Wagepoint, QuickBooks Online and RUN Powered by ADPReasons for Choosing OnPay
Mainly because of the flexibility to map items into QBO, and to get the type of reporting we needed. Onpay allows us to handle both smaller clients with a few employees and larger clients with many employees. And, has minimal upkeep... run payroll, it syncs, and we're good.Reasons for Switching to OnPay
Because Onpay did what we needed it to regarding mapping accounts, classes, locations, etc in a variety of ways. And has great support.OnPay FAQs
