ACCELQ

About ACCELQ
ACCELQ is a cloud-based platform for continuous functional & API automation testing which utilizes ‘natural language programming’ and application abstraction to enable testing at any stage of app development. Out-of-the-box support is offered for a range of the latest application development technologies, including HTML5, Bootstrap, Kendo, and Google Material design, and dynamic web app technologies such as Angular JS.
ACCELQ’s App Universe and predictive scenario designer enable the development of test scenarios based on path analysis and predictive analytics, and unique test data permutations are determined to provide coverage for all possible business process scenarios. Application abstraction enables test planning, design, creation and execution alongside application development, so progress can be made at any level of application availability, stability or readiness. The reconciliation engine automatically realises the abstraction when the app is ready for launch.
‘Natural Language programming’ in ACCELQ allows users to develop test logic using natural English instead of code, with the aim of making the process of building complex navigation and business validation logic more intuitive. The analytic runtime engine utilizes advanced multi-step heuristics to detect changes to application elements, and automatically adapts to ensure reliable test executions. Embedding of critical server-side API validations alongside front-end testing ensures 360-degree quality coverage, and users can accomplish verifications for response times, status, occurrence, header values, content, and more through a wizard-based approach. The continuous action dashboard provides an overview of software development lifecycle (SDLC) status, and allows users to visualize failure density and patterns.

From the first contact 1.5 years ago to now, we have consistently experienced proactive resolutions, updates, and support from accelQ. Their proactive approach has proved to be a constant help in improving our test automation endeavors.
Pros
In the past, we had multiple teams - manual and automation working independently and trying to work with tight schedules and deadlines. There were delays in the manual to automation handoffs and then the cycle seemed to never end. accelQ proved to be a gamechanger for our test automation process. Software testing is not the same for us anymore. The time and effort required for software testing has greatly reduced, and we are able to see a considerable difference in our returns on investment as well. The In Sprint automation feature does the GUI and API automation, all in the same end-to-end-flow. Detection of errors, early reports, helps us fix errors before the production stage. We can build the application while simultaneously automating it.
Cons
There’s just one con...the initial investment. To be honest, we were a bit reluctant to go for this platform thinking about the cost being slightly on the higher side. However, after using the platform for more than a year now, when we look back at the journey, the investment we made was the best one. We saved on the overall effort, time, and our inception to implementation of software has drastically accelerated.

Good tool for enterprises looking for a codeless, cloud-based test automation solution. Its AI-driven automation, self-healing capabilities, and end-to-end test coverage are great assets for functional test auomation. However, organizations with complex, custom testing needs or heavy performance testing requirements may find its capabilities limited. It’s best suited for mid-to-large enterprises focusing on rapid automation with minimal scripting effort.
Pros
Low code automation with minimal setup,ai powered test design.
Cons
limited customizations, premium pricing, limited community support and learning advanced features

My experience has been good so far, and I say this because we had conducted POCs on several tools for no-code automation in our project. However, as you know, Salesforce has a Shadow DOM structure, which creates significant challenges with dynamic XPaths. This issue had been a major blocker in our project for quite some time. Gradually, as we started fully utilizing automation on our end with AccelQ, we are now confident that we made the right decision to go with AccelQ for automation in our project.
Pros
During the initial days, our team faced some challenges in understanding things, primarily because we transitioned from a fully coded environment to a no-code/low-code approach. At that time, we greatly needed support, and the Customer Success team provided valuable guidance through healthy discussions on various points.
The platform is simple and crisp to use. When I use Salesforce in my projects, its quarterly releases from Salesforce's end make managing XPath-related issues much easier.
Unlike traditional record-and-play concepts, Salesforce stands out with its auto-update feature. Additionally, the official user guide provided after obtaining the license offers top-notch content, and updates related to internal releases are quickly notified.
Cons
As of now, to be very honest, I would say no. The reason I’m saying this is because AccelQ has solved so many of our problems related to automation in Salesforce-based projects.
