Bambuser allows users to create, manage, and distribute live HD video and photo content through a centralized content dashboard and apps for iOS and Android. The software is aimed at field services, mobile platforms, and news & media organizations, and offerings include a ready-to-go product suite for direct video streaming, and developer tools (SDKs) to enable live streaming functionality in other mobile applications and platforms.
Through the content management hub, users can manage all pre-existing and incoming content, with the ability to preview content, monitor incoming footage, provide feedback, and more. All incoming content is available to view immediately, and users can apply multiple filters to manage content based on locations, authors, titles, and tags. Metadata is captured with all incoming content, and users can verify video reliability and quality before publishing, with the option to provide feedback to contributors through text chat or audio talkback. Videos can then be categorized and stored for later use, or instantly published via RTMP or SDI.

Pros
It gives a very good reception of live streaming video and ready to go product with low latency as well.
Cons
There are fewer chances of getting a recorded video and it's hard to figure out the tools as well. You need to learn more about this.

Pros
- Reliability: Iris seldom fails on us. It works for our reporters in the field and for our editors and producers at the newsdesks and controlrooms.
- Ease of use: the app is easy to learn and use. After a couple of minutes of crash course a new reporter can deliver a live broadcast in a breakin news situation. The backend is also user friendly
Cons
- The app lacks some functions:
Audio level indicators
Warning if external mic is not working/connected.
Low battery warning
It should be also be nice if app was able to send still image captures during ongoing live broadcast
Android version should be identical to iOS version
App should also be able to send directly to rtmp (without need for manual connect to output in admin). Maybe assign a rtmp-adress to specific user?
- The Dashboard lacks:
- A true search on all content (on author, tags, date/time interval)
- Image download filenames are still a mess (please ad metadata in the same manner as for video)
- Some kind of auto-reconnect to output channel would be nice (if stream from field drops it should automatically start streaming to same SDI-output when it is reconnected)
- The drag/drop function to switch streams to a SDI-output could be developed. For example clicking on the stream that should be output is easier than draggin and dropping.
- A downloadable version of video should be created in background as soon as it´s uploaded in dashboard. In fast situations waiting for a mp4 to render is frustrating.
