About Trustpilot
Trustpilot is a customer review management tool that helps businesses engage and build trust with their customers. Founded in 2007 with a simple yet powerful idea that is more relevant today than ever - to be the universal symbol of trust, bringing consumers & businesses together through reviews. Trustpilot is open, independent, and impartial - we help consumers make the right choices and businesses to build trust, grow and improve.
Today, we have more than 300 million reviews and 67 million monthly active users across the globe, with 127 billion annual Trustpilot brand impressions, and the numbers keep growing. We have more than 900 employees and we’re headquartered in Copenhagen, with operations in Amsterdam, Denver, Edinburgh, Hamburg, London, Melbourne, Milan & New York.
Trustpilot provides businesses with the necessary tools to assist with review invitations, onsite widgets, Google Seller Ratings, rich snippet stars & more, to help stand out where it matters most - in search.

Trustpilots are part of my incetive at work so I tend to make sure that my name appear on the platform and trust pilots work the same as google reviews
Pros
The fact that a customer can mention my name and the whole world will know that I provided an efficient service
Cons
One star especially when they close to my name

Great for getting verified reviews, not great for customer service.

Pros
Trustpilot's great, it's pretty well known unlike G2 so I think it has a more balanced audience, whereas others seem to be more incentivised platforms. Upgrading to a paid package with Trustpilot has given us the ability to add widgets to our website to request reviews and send out personalised and automated emails to customers who give us high satisfaction scores, to ask them for a review. This is great because it'll show as verified, unlike some spam reviews you get from people who've never used your product.
Cons
They allow a lot of spam reviews, for instance people who may have got the wrong software, or someone who is blaming the provider when actually it's a problem with another piece of the puzzle. It's really hard to get these type of reviews removed as well. We also frequently get emails from the Trustpilot team themselves warning us against 'fake' reviews that they assume we're making. This is bizarre and I'm not sure what's gone wrong in their system but it's not an appreciative feeling you get as a customer being told that you're misusing their platform. Makes for a pretty cold experience overall.
Response from Trustpilot
Hi Elli,
Thanks for sharing with us! We do do lots to prevent fake reviews on our platform. One of those things being that you can flag reviews that break the rules and our team will investigate. We will be sure to pass along your feedback to our Content Integrity team regarding your mention of fake review warnings to see what's happened here and improve moving forward.
If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hate it. A review site is nothing if you can't have only true verified experiences from real customers.
Pros
Navigation and interface is easy to use and learn.
Cons
There is zero credibility if anyone can leave a negative review even if not a customer and they can leave multiple identical reviews or even use multiple accounts to create duplicate cut and pasted negative reviews.
Response from Trustpilot
Hi,
Thanks for your review. However, we have 0 tolerance for fake reviews and misuse of our platform. If a review breaks the rules, it can be flagged and our team will investigate.

Pros
It makes it very easy to gather feedback and positive reviews from customers quickly. It's also a great way to quickly check the history and standards of other companies that we may want to use.
Cons
The platform has an issue with fake and paid reviews for other companies which can make it hard to trust reviews sometimes.
