cieTrade is a business management and inventory control software for commodity trading and recycling companies. Designed to maximize operational productivity, cieTrade helps eliminate manual spreadsheets and workarounds with automated data entry that can be accessed from any location, leveraging built-in workflow tools for tracking shipping status, billing tasks and claims, etc. A unique "buy/sell" approach streamlines brokerage shipment details into instantly retrievable forms, while index formula and differential pricing is supported alongside the logging of all order activities and pricing histories. Shipping and billing documentation can also be generated faster in one single click, while automated email uses a template-based tool to send custom messages with multiple file attachments. Aside from core trading, export and inventory control features, cieTrade also delivers payment processing, shipping statement creation and advanced reporting capabilities for tracking a multitude of business performance trends. Integration with leading third-party accounting packages such as QuickBooks and Xero then ensures financial data is synchronized accurately while eliminating double entry.
In addition to online system access, cieTrade is also supported by a suite of native mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms. cieMobile gives mobile access to cieTrade accounts and reporting information including contact details, accounts receivable, open shipments or orders and more, along with revenue updates and email/phone communication from within the app. Truck Drivers can manage cieTrade dispatch jobs and view drive directions remotely with cieDispatch, while ciePhoto allows photographic evidence of shipments or material quality issues to be captured, tagged and uploaded to the main database.

Pros
One of the most important items for everyone to take into account when selecting a software company for your business is how well they understand your business, and that every company has unique processes that may translate into specialized reporting. Cietrade has provided an environment of being business partners and listens to your individual needs.
Cons
Each user can customize their cieTrade folders, which is a great plus, but when updates take place you need to reset all of your folders again.

Pros
Our business has been using cieTrade for about 8 years now, and this software has made our daily processes so much more efficient. We mainly use it for dispatching, shipping, receiving, billing and invoicing. We also use it to keep track of export loads with container photos. I’d say the most useful feature for me is the ability to get all of the billing info imported into our accounting software and being able to generate a journal entry for sales, expenses and adjustments to close out the month. Anytime I’ve ever had to contact tech support, they have been very prompt in response and are always very friendly. I highly recommend cieTrade to anyone in the paper recycling industry.

Software updates are by customer demand only not on a scheduled release.
