The cloud-based solution allows businesses to track their assets throughout the entire lifecycle, from procurement to retirement, and all from one central system.
Designed to help businesses keep tabs on their assets from purchase to disposal, AssetSonar provides real-time insights into asset usage, maintenance, and location, and provides actionable reports to aid with purchasing decisions and auditing. AssetSonar facilitates the management and tracking of both hardware and software assets, with the ability to track hardware locations via label and barcode scanning, and license tracking features for IT asset management. In-depth information on software assets is automatically gathered and stored by the AssetSonar system using the agent-based discover tool.
In order to help businesses lower their application clutter and simplify asset deployment, AssetSonar integrates with SSO systems, third party applications such as Zendesk, and hardware scanners. Through third party integration, users can manage data from multiple sources and consolidate data from multiple touchpoints in order to gain deeper insight into asset specifications, real-time budgets, and vendors. AssetSonar also facilitates the tracking of purchase orders, costs, vendors, procurement schedules, inventory, warranty expiry dates, and more in order to provide full visibility into asset life cycles.

We switched over to AssetSonar from EZOfficeInventory; same team, same great support staff, much better product for managing IT assets. We've been able to tag and track around 500 IT assets - laptops, printers, networking equipment - and keep an eye on warranties, maintenance schedules, and procurement details. This is all spread out over 200 people, and it never feels like work.
It's improved our visibility into our equipment, the reports are in-depth, and we've cut down at least an hour a day on managing our IT operations.
Pros
The AssetSonar agent makes it really easy to put IT asset details into the system. We're able to manage IT asset lifecycles across our three main locations. Makes it so easy to be organized and on top of things.
Cons
Not much. Only had one bug so far but it was resolved the same day, so I can't complain.

Cons
There were many bugs with the program, but Asset Sonar corrected those issues within a timely fashion.

Our experience with AssetSonar has been excellent. The software integrates seamlessly with JAMF Pro and Zendesk, enabling smooth workflows across our IT and support systems. The ability to create custom asset tags has enhanced our asset tracking, allowing us to tailor the tool to our organization’s needs. Additionally, AssetSonar has been invaluable in providing HR with visibility into the status of MacBooks for both new hires and offboarded staff, streamlining our onboarding and offboarding processes
