Property management businesses and landlords can manage their finances and accounting within Remote Landlord, which offers accounting features including financial reporting, expense tracking, budget monitoring, audit logs, and more. The cloud-based nature of Remote Landlord allows users to manage their finances in one place, scan and archive documents, eliminate errors or duplication, and search the entire system for tenant data or files. Users can manage other financial aspects including cash receipts, check deposits, general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and more. The Legal Calendar module helps property managers to identify late payments and schedule upcoming court dates for legal issues, and all documents or data related to legal processes can be accessed within the module.

Remote Landlord facilitates the management of tenants within the Tenant Manager module, with tools for controlling day-to-day tasks and monitoring tenant issues regarding maintenance, rent payments, property damage, and more. Users can access individual tenant files to track rent payments, view recurring payments, and issue invoices or receipts, and tenants can access their payment data and communicate with landlords through the self service portal. The tenant portal also allows tenants to view their current balance, make electronic payments via credit card, access and download their invoices and bills, and request maintenance for their property.
