About Medrio
Medrio is an electronic data capture (EDC) tool for clinical research teams with tools for capturing, storing, analyzing, and managing patient data during clinical trials. Medrio offers secure storage of patient data, automates regulatory compliance management, and allows users to build custom studies. The cloud-based tool consists of four modules; electronic data capture (EDC), eSource for streamlining data entry, eConsent for gathering patient consent, and ePRO for reporting on patient outcomes. Medrio can be beneficial for medical sponsors, CROs, Pharma businesses, diagnostics teams, animal health professionals, and and any other type of industry that carries out clinical trials.
The EDC module within Medrio facilitates the capture and input of data during clinical trials, with tools for building a custom database, creating and editing studies, and carrying out data checks. Users are able to build custom studies using the drag and drop interface, and edits can be made to studies at any time, even after the study in underway. Data can be entered into the Medrio EDC system using a desktop, mobile device, or iPad using the iOS and Android apps. In order to ensure that data is entered accurately, edit checks and data queries are carried out automatically and skip logic can be setup to prompt specific data entry.
Medrio eSource offers mobile and tablet apps for capturing data electronically online or offline, either in a clinic or in the field. Users can access a range of forms for capturing data on individual patients, and this data can be shared instantly with real-time data sync. Consent can be confirmed with the Medrio eConsent module which facilitates electronic signature capture and consent form management. Consent forms can be created by study administrators in order to capture the necessary information to meet regulatory compliance, and to provide the customer with study information including videos, infographics, and more. The capture of PRO data can be managed using the ePRO module which offers tools for automatic survey delivery to patients, automatic notifications, capture of Quality of Life (QoL) metrics, patient reported information recording, and more.

Medrio is an essential part of the data collection for our studies. It makes the data collection and cleaning (remotely) much more efficient than paper data collection.
Pros
Ease of use. The speed with which a study database can be set up and deployed. Also, the ease of implementing mid-study changes without affecting existing data.
Cons
Some of the configuration modules are still inconsistent in the way they look and function. Laying out case report forms could be easier.

Overall our team enjoys the creation of our different databases and eCRFs with Medrio. The ease of use and the appealing concept of the system makes it worth selecting it above its competitors.
Pros
The ease of work. Almost anything you think of its doable within Medrio.
Cons
Sometimes you just need a tip, an advise on how to do or implement a small change and you're required to purchase a whole training session. It would be great if at least basic, guided information would be available through support.
