About Reportex
Reportex is a cloud-based audio transcription and editing solution from Sony which allows users to automatically transcribe audio from multiple file formats, edit and correct transcriptions, download edited files, create and share video clips of transcribed audio, and more.
Reportex supports a range of audio and video file formats, including MP3, MPA, WAV, OGG, AAC, MP4, and MPEG. Users can drag-and-drop their files to upload, and audio is transcribed automatically. The audio waveform and transcribed text are displayed alongside one another. If text is highlighted, the corresponding section of the waveform is also highlighted, and any deletions, copy-pastes, and edits are automatically reflected in both the transcription and the waveform.
With Reportex, users can correct any errors or misheard words in the transcription without affecting the audio file. Once editing is completed, users can download their edited audio, transcription, or transcription with timestamps. Reportex also offers tools for creating 30-second video clips from audio, with users able to select which section of the transcription to use. The transcription text is displayed over the audio waveform as the selected audio plays, providing an accessible video for use on social media.

I needed the transcript of multiple conferences that were recorded. Instead of listening to hours...
I needed the transcript of multiple conferences that were recorded. Instead of listening to hours of audio and spending days writing everything down myself, I used Reportex with very favorable results. I found the software to be incredibly useful and accurate, and only wished I could use it in Spanish.
Pros
- Pricing is low and accessible
- It is fairly intuitive and easy to start using
- A great way to save some time when transcribing audio files
- It is an online tool, so it can be accessed from multiple devices
- Allow text editing
- Fairly accurate

- No free version available, although it does offer a free trial

- Not available in IOS, as far as I know, just android

We needed to make the subtitles of a cutscene in a videogame in which we were the outsourcing. Instead of hearing the audio a million times, we used reportex and the job was done in a second.
Pros
It's a great and easy way to transform audio into text. You just need to put the audio you recorded and it will automatically turn it into text. Great for making subtitles.
Cons
It would be nice it if it can handle multiple lenguajes, but it doesn't. Appart from that, I cannot thing of something else.

Best suited for countries which use UK english. Free trial is available and per user license makes it easy to pilot it.
Cons
No free version is available, so after free trial full version needs to be purchased.
