What is NetSolutions?

NetSolutions by Cantata Health is a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform specifically designed for long-term care (LTC) facilities to allow staff to deliver top quality care without disturbing their daily workflows. The system also offers revenue cycle management (RCM) tools to ensure that reimbursements and payments can be received quickly.

The interoperability of NetSolutions allows staff at assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities to exchange data securely and ensure patient records are complete. Hundreds of standardized care plans are offered with the aim of covering the multitude of possible patient situations, allowing nursing staff to provide pre-defined interventions based on proven best practices.

NetSolutions’s clinical decision support feature is designed to act as a ‘second eye’ to reduce treatment errors including adverse drug interactions. Rules-based triggers automatically generate alerts for staff when any potential issues are detected, such as drug errors, dosing errors, omissions or duplications. NetSolutions also allows users to uncover care gaps within their facility through standard and ad hoc reporting to ensure compliance with all CMS standards.

A lot more efficiencies...billers do not have to do all the thinking to be able to bill accurately.

Pros

Customer service is amazing. The management team listens to the needs of their clients and actually care to make their product better to accommodate the ever evolving world of Healthcare! Their reps understands the billing rules for all of the states they support and the rules are built into the software. If they are unsure they will get help and usually within 24 hours. Providers/users are not left having to do manual "work-a-rounds" to get their jobs done. This software is the way to go...if something is wrong, it's more than likely operator error. This software offers a lot of flexibility to accommodate all the different rules from all of the different Payors out there. Billers find it very easy to use...

Cons

Possibly better statement options. Have more reports be available in excel (there are lots but not too user friendly)

Pros

The vendor is very active in seeking out input from their customers, and they actually listen. When there's a feature we want they work hard to incorporate it quickly. It can be used as-is, or you can completely customize many areas of the program to suit your company's needs.

Cons

The growing pains during the early years. This software has been around for a loooong time in many iterations. Our company has been using it for at least 10 years, and through that we have struggled through some really tough versions that were more bugs than fixes. BUT THAT'S ALL BEHIND US NOW. The software has been brought up to current standards, and the new general manager is focused on improving the user experience.
