About YardView

YardView is a cloud-based yard and trailer management solution designed to help logistics companies manage yard activity, drivers, appointments, detention, demurrage tracking, and reporting. The software aims to reduce lot check times and idle dock labor, and eliminate the need for yard spreadsheets.

YardView’s cloud-based, mobile-responsive interface allows users to access data on their yard from anywhere at any time. Users can look up data quickly, enter desired criteria, and find relevant information. Since each move in the tool creates a record, all data relating to changes and movements are searchable. Users can also reduce their administrative workload by allowing customers and carriers to access key data related to their yard, with the ability to control access through user roles.

The YardView Smartclient is designed to reduce the time required to perform lot checks, and provides metrics and customized reports based on real-time data. Detention and demurrage charges are accrued automatically, and YardView calculates time in inventory and generates text alerts to keep users ahead of charges.

there is simply nothing to report here as a con. from the beginning approximately 5 years, Yardview has been a great dock scheduling and yard management software that we use for a production tool daily. we ship over 50 trucks per day on 2 shifts with ease on this platform.

Thank you for all your help our rep! The rep is just one of the great people that I got to work with at YardView. Aside from the rep just being an amazing person, she took care of every concern we had, and went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our project was addressed and taken care of. It was almost as though she became an extension of our own team. However, everyone on their team was extremely professional and helpful as well.

Pros

YardView is an extremely powerful tool that provides the same dynamic analytical capabilities that "BIG" Asset Management Software companies offer, but YardView provides the agility of a fast implementation that the "BIG" companies simply can't compete with.
Our business volumes fluctuate seasonally so we needed a cost effective solution that could be rolled out and implemented quickly to multiple sites as business needs dictate. After evaluating a several other solutions YardView was the best choice by far.
The software is straight forward and easy to use for any user. Minimal training was needed because the interface is so user friendly. An immediate ROI was realized in reduced man hours, and gained visibility and use analytics which gave us the ability to better track our assets and maintain our facilities.

Cons

I wish there was a YardView API that can be leveraged to easily integrate YardView with other Software.

Clean interface, one of the best Yard Management packages available

Pros

Ease of use. .NET application will run on almost any Windows device will little to no setup required.

Cons

Software can lock up on occasion but think this has more to do with poor Internet connectivity at times in the yard.

Yardview is a great company to do business with because they're responsive and reasonable. Our integration with them actually ran under budget and was delivered on time. I'd have to say that of all our software vendor relationships, it's among the best.

Pros

The software is used for yard management of large warehouse yards. It has a component in the driver's cab so their dispatches come up immediately on their screen. The simple design allows the drivers to easily navigate the job requests, pick the one they're working on, make any notes to the move and view the other options quickly and easily. Dispatchers can stack load assignments up and push them to the trucks with ease. Management and exception reports are well laid out and provide great metrics to help improve yard efficiency. Finally, the vendor is easy to work with and really knows their product so externally integration was easy.

Cons

The only initial con I had was that the GUI felt a little dated but they've issued a new version that greatly enhanced the look and feel.

We chose the product back in 2010 and Yardview was by far the best product for the lowest cost.
