AVImark by Covetrus is an on-premise practice management software designed to help veterinarians and vet hospitals automate and manage finance and administration tasks, such as appointment scheduling, invoicing, budgeting, medical records management, and more. The platform includes a built-in search engine, which allows users to retain accurate information and run customized and targeted marketing campaigns.
AVImark’s key features include management of inventory and prescriptions, payment processing, client communications, lab system integrations, and forward booking of appointments. The telemedicine functionality enables veterinarians to reach industry specialists and clients via video conference calls, chat, email, and more, even from remote locations. It also has an activity dashboard, which lets administrators streamline tasks such as pet boarding calendars, patient reminders, financial reports, and more.
AVImark offers integration with laboratory and inventory systems providers such as Antech, AXIS-Q, Hemagen, Scil, Heska, IDEXX, Abaxis, Cubex and Intelligent Inventory. The software offers marketing communication tools such as Rapport and Vetstreet Pro, which facilitate timely communication between representatives and patients through various channels, such as text messaging, phone calls, voice messages, postcard reminders and more.

Overall, Avimark has been the easiest and most self explanatory software system to use for veterinary records.
Pros
AviMark has been by far the easiest to use Veterinary Software. It has many options to store, personalize, and create information. It has options to input and store different pricing tiers for varying codes. It also has the ability to personalize item codes. There are many features that make Avimark easy to use for even the most beginner user.
Cons
While many easy to use features, Avimark also has limitations on some of its features. Certain features can only be personalized to such a degree and there are some areas where only certain information can be utilized.

Lack of a running total when building an invoice. We have to continually do trail posts to see where we are as compared to the treatment plan.

Pros
Very simple to learn - basic features. Ideal for a GP practice.
Cons
We are a high volume multispecialty and ER veterinary practice. We need a robust electronic medical record system with ability to send records to referring vets electronically (not available with Avimark).

Overall I feel that Avimark is a great program. It's ease of use is good. Beginners can pick up the basics easily. There are a lot of things that the system can do that many are not aware of. The ease of integration from one program to Avimark was pretty seamless.
Pros
Easily teachable. Easy integration. User friendly.
Cons
Not as easy to get "New" features added when suggested. I would like to see the online academy become part of the program as "basic" meaning I think that you would have way more practices wanting to have the system if this was available as a no charge portion of the system. Practices are constantly adding more staff, and the cost associated with the academy are not very cost effective for a practice to have year round. If this price was embedded in the purchase price and maybe just a minimal annual fee would be much easier for practices to want to continue this service.

Pros
This program is very easy to convert to. My entire staff was able to function within a week of installing.
Cons
The inventory program is little limited compared to some other programs. Quantity discounts could use improvement.
