About My Hours

My Hours is a cloud-based time tracking solution best suited for small teams and freelancers. Users can start time tracking on unlimited projects and tasks in seconds, generate insightful reports, and create invoices.

My Hours allows users to track time via a user-friendly and intuitive interface. Users can track in real-time, manually add time logs or resume tracking on existing time logs. Native iOS and Android apps give users the flexibility to track and manage time on-the-go, via mobile and tablet devices. Users can add information, descriptions, and duration to time logs, and assign them to specific projects or tasks. My Hours allows admins to enter or edit time log information for team members.

Users can generate and download detailed time reports, to gain valuable insight into team or individual performance. My Hours supports activity, projects, pivot and dashboard reports.

My Hours also allows users to manage project budgets and offers task, project and team member-based rate billing methods. Users can customize invoices and send them to their clients via email or download them as a PDF.

My Hours for client work

Pros

The web-based version of My Hours is very easy to use. I like that I can track my time by client and by project. I use the free version and it meets almost all my needs. The website is fast, easy to navigate, and provides me the flexibility I need in tracking my billable hours.

Cons

While the majority of my time is tracked on the web-based version, I do have the mobile version loaded on my phone. However, I have found it lacking in features and flexibility. Also, I create reports each month so I can create my client invoices, and the time sheets cannot be formatted with decimal time. In all fairness, this might be a feature in their paid subscriptions, but I don't need the majority of their paid features, so I will stay with the free version and convert the times to decimal separately.

Pros

The interface to enter hours by project and task with tags either manually or automatic time tracking.
The clean crisp appearance, the configurability, as well as the customization capabilities of the Activity Report.

Cons

Sometimes I have to think a bit on how to switch time tracking modes, for example from the daily time log to the weekly timesheet view.

The increased cost of the other product became prohibitive. The search for an replacement time tracking solution was due to the new pricing structure of QuickBooks Time.

The ability manage time tracking by project, tasks, and tags. The ability generate pdf activity reports. The easy to use and intuitive interface for entering billable time by client and project. The affordability, as well as the modern, professional and elegant interface of all the features compared to the others products that I trialed led to an easy decision to move forward with My Hours. After several months of use, I am very pleased with my decision.

Buggy but does what it needs to

Pros

It lets me record time for multiple team members on multiple projects for multiple clients. I like the stop/start timer function, as well as the option to input the start/stop times manually, or even JUST input the number of minutes spent.

Cons

Recently the reporting functionality was changed and now it has become more difficult to pull a report on a single client's hours and projects. You have to pull a FULL report of everything and parse through each section to find what you are looking for. MUCH preferred how this feature worked BEFORE. Preferred the graphics, the circle charts to the bar graphs as well.

Overall the software is often buggy and mis-records hours if you use the timer function, sometimes adding an additional 24 hours into the time period.

Easy to use time tracking and billing

Pros

Very easy to use, and the export features make it really easy to sort out invoicing/billing at the end of the month.
I like the way you can set up different costs for different clients, and the easy way to enter and update line items in the timesheet.

Cons

The only thing I would like to be able to do directly from the timesheet is assign a new Client/Project to a client without having to go in and edit that new item in the item's setting.

I find that it's much easier to provide a time sheet to my client, and I like the layout and the reporting function of My Hours. I'm now considering to upgrade my free plan so I can utilise the time budget feature.

Pros

There is so much value in the Free plan. It's easy to use, and I like the layout.

Cons

I would love a desktop app for Mac please. Sometimes I forget to stop the timer on the browser. I'm afraid I don't like using the app on my phone as I find my phone distracting when I'm at work so rather not have to touch the phone.

Toggle was the first time tracking software I used. I didn't quite like the layout for some reason. Having tried out MyHours.. I made the switch when I wanted to send out monthly time sheets to my client.
