About PrimeRx
PrimeRx is a pharmacy management system for independent, retail pharmacies, multi-store owners, and hospitals which supports custom workflows and automated fill, bill and communication processes. Native mobile apps for iOS and Android give users the flexibility to access and manage their data on-the-go, via mobile and tablet devices.
PrimeRx offers a complete pharmacy dispensing solution, allowing users to manage patient and provider intake, process claims, labeling and dispensing, as well as inventory, all from the same, central platform. PrimeRx helps users streamline their workflow through automated outbound patient calls, text messages, and emails. Other key features include adherence scorecards and reporting, predictive modeling, and synchronized refills.
PrimeRx supports an automated refill management system, helping users fill electronic prescriptions by looking up existing patient, prescriber and drug inventory data. The automated refill system also syncs all refills to a particular date, and automatically queues up the day’s scheduled refills. Custom workflow and reporting tools enable users to generate electronic orders, manage incoming prescriptions and prescription pickups, as well as check cost comparisons between wholesalers, and more.
The patient status board allows pharmacies to communicate with patients while they wait for their prescriptions, and inform them of where they are in the prescription-processing queue.

• Contactless Payments through PrimeRxPAY. With PrimeRxPAY, pharmacies can manage co-pay collection and issuance of receipts. PrimeRxPAY allows patients to complete their co-pay transactions before the medication is picked up in the pharmacy, by the curbside, or delivered.

Pros
Everything is on one page and there's no need to go thru several steps to process claims. I like how the claim status and billing info is displayed with all the information of the claim amount.
Cons
Boxed error messages that come up sometimes which show flaws in programming
Dual billing insurances are a two step process. You can't bill two insurances together. I would love to see Will call items in blue, as the current way that color is only for filed prescriptions.

Dual Insurance is a one step process. IF the Billing sequence is defined, then the system bills to Primary, and upon Copay sends the claim to the secondary for copay collection - automatically.
Allow us to have a trainer reach out to you. We will take you through a one-on-one session and explain this simple process. At that time, our trainer will also discuss the option for Will Call in a different color and get more input from you on that - we are always taking suggestions for customization - hence this should be addressed as well.

Pros
It's pretty easy to navigate the system & having training videos "on demand" helps with new hires or brushing up on specific parts of the system not used as often.
Cons
The medication cost (patient pay $ amount) isn't retained with every refill or editing rx's.

As good as any other system with some perks:
Product size correction
House account
Verification of patient rx groups
Cons
Drug change on refill, royal pia. Drugs contracts change and many drugs are not available. Who's the Einstein that figured that out.
Inability to change co-pays per our price list (discounted electronic coupons)
Inability to charge on house accounts with out signing. we are in an assisted living facility. nurses need to pick up rxs and jams up our register line.
inabilty to charge credit cards from processing terminal for rxs that are mailed out
Need to add many drugs not in the system.
Email and texting function is too expensive.

I've had a wonderful experience with PrimeRx. Even when the whole Change healthcare scenario happened, the agents stayed in touch and emails were sent regularly, giving us clarity on how to proceed.
Pros
It is extremely user friendly. Even if we get stuck on anything the chat option to connect to agents is extremely useful. I've used this feature several times especially when I've had a patient waiting to pick up their prescription.
Cons
I wish the new design was better than the classic theme.
