DanceStudio-Pro is a cloud-based solution that enables dance studios to streamline student registration, sales, scheduling, and more operations. Professionals can utilize the platform to sell tickets for events such as dance recitals, workshops, or summer camps and accept payments via credit cards in real time.
DanceStudio-Pro allows studio owners to track teachers' certifications and work history and send SMS or email reminders about upcoming classes. It lets users manage the student database, registrations, costumes, and assignments, view fee balances, and communicate via phone, text, or email. Professionals can utilize the solution to handle classroom processes, waitlists, and multi-currency online payments, maintain progress notes, track student attendance, and more. Plus, administrators can track costume inventory using barcodes and gain visibility into stock details through reports.
DanceStudio-Pro’s Recital Wizard helps organizers manage activities related to dance recitals, such as planning act roles, choosing music, assigning stage positions, and more.
The platform lets users automate recurring payments via credit cards, eChecks*, and automated clearing house (ACH*) systems.

To streamline communication between administrators and customers, the DanceStudio-Pro Parent Portal app is downloadable from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app has all the same functions as the web-based Parent Portal, with the added convenience of having it downloaded directly on a smartphone. The app is free and will allow customers to register, pay, access their schedules, etc.
With the new tier of the software, DanceStudio-Pro Premier, users have access to additional features. One feature includes a two-way messaging app named Studio Chat. The app allows dance studio owners to have two-way communication between parents, groups, teachers, classes, dance seasons, and users. For parents, Studio Chat is housed inside the DanceStudio-Pro Parent Portal app on their smartphones. Parents can enable push notifications to be notified about new chat messages.
Another key feature of the DanceStudio-Pro Premier upgrade is the Zapier Integration. The Zapier Integration allows studio owners to push studio data from DanceStudio-Pro to 5,000+ other software including Keap, Quickbooks, Xero, and more and build reports that fit their studios' unique needs. Administrators can have an event in DSP trigger automations in other software, eliminating many tasks that were previously executed manually.

DanceStudio-Pro is a very complete and robust tool, available in its web version and a mobile application, it stands out from other programs available in the market thanks to its functionality and that it is easy to use, it improved notably my efficiency as a dance teacher since it allowed me to establish a better organization of my classes and students, the experience that I obtained since I began to use it has been wonderful and it has allowed me to increase my portfolio of clients
Pros
It offers the possibility to efficiently manage your dance classes, customers, attendance records or automation of that billing process, online registration, scheduling, however at the personal level the feature that I use most and the one I like best in this program is the management of recitals, which together with the mobile application of the program allows me to manage my business in a simple and efficient way, so I devote more effort and concentration to the man hours used in the realization of the dance classes that in the administrative part , which I find great additionally has a very intuitive interface so it does not require learning curve. Another aspect to highlight is its price, it is very affordable so it can be used from small businesses or personal ventures to large dance academies.
Cons
One limitation is that its mobile application is only available for iOs operating systems (iPad, iPhone and iPod.), I would like an update to expand its compatibility with the Android system.

I do really love the versatility of DanceStudio-Pro, and how easy it is to use. I feel comfortable in its system, and it makes it really easy to contact students.
Pros
DSP is very user friendly, and makes it easy to see and run tuition, enroll students in classes, and send out emails.
Cons
The fact that customers have to make an account before selecting classes to enroll in (versus selecting a class to enroll in and then only after creating an account) was a barrier that ultimately made us leave the platform for our child/teen classes.

Parent Portal Log In Issues

Not great at all. When over 50% of your clients can’t log in it defeats the purpose of using the...
Not great at all. When over 50% of your clients can’t log in it defeats the purpose of using the website. I asked for them to waive the fee for a fee months due to the issues we had all last season. They were unwilling to do so, so my prescription to their will expire towards the end of September. I refuse to $45 a month as a nonprofit dance business when my customers can’t log in and my staff has to keep resending parents links. Like they do not know how to log in. One of my parents is a business owner and she does a website similar to this one for her clients and she has no issues at all.
Pros
Was easy to set up and easy for parents to see each item itemized.
Cons
Parents hardly being able to access parent portal to pay and consistently getting logged out. They try to tell you that you do not contact them because apparently their link to get help doesn’t directly work thru their website.
