Video streaming solution for municipalities & organizations

About BoxCast

BoxCast is a live video streaming solution designed to help organizations, municipalities, and churches broadcast events and connect with audiences across multiple channels. Features include monitoring, social sharing, video compression, customizable branding, transcoding, and data encryption.

The application helps broadcasters capture content from multiple sources and build videos using various editing and graphic overlay tools. Users can automatically schedule the broadcasting of multiple events on a daily or weekly basis as well as manage overlapping events by simultaneously streaming videos. The solution allows users to add captions and customize their vocabulary for live or recorded broadcasts. Moreover, with its analytics module, professionals can evaluate audience engagement based on total views, unique viewers, and average view duration as well as track customer locations using interactive maps.

BoxCast offers integrations with various third-party platforms such as Wirecast, ProPresenter, MediaShout, Squarespace, Subsplash, Faithlife, and more. Moreover, team members can use the solution to diagnose the streaming quality and troubleshoot issues based on multiple factors including bit rate, frame rate, and packet loss.

BoxCast is a no-brainer for churches!

We have loved the switch to BoxCast, it is a little more expensive for us, but offers a lot more features and we don't regret our decision to use them.

Pros

I absolutely love the fact that I can schedule our live streams and they run themselves. We no longer have to go and manually start and stop a livestream and make sure that it posts, Boxcast just works and it saves me so much time weekly

Cons

I wish the add-on apps like for FireTV and AppleTV were a little cheaper. At $1,000/each its a hard add-on just because we're not sure how much people would take advantage of them. It seems like since its an app they've already built that it would be cheaper to change the stream ID in the app and the logo.

Great product, but costly

Very good except the cost. They should lower the cost.

Very good except the cost. They should lower the cost.

Pros

Very good streaming service. And the technical help was amazing.

Cons

The cost of the service is very high, and the percentage that they take for doing a paywall is very high as well.

Great easy to use Live Streaming Software

Reviewed on 2021/09/07

Pros

It's basically a plug and play platform. Really smooths out our video stream and took care of any buffering issues we were having.

Cons

The one thing I think could be improved is there countdown timer to when live steam starts only goes until it reaches 1 min and then it does not count down the seconds so your not quite sure when it is going to start.
