Web conferencing and remote support software

About TurboMeeting

TurboMeeting is a web conferencing software designed to help small to medium-sized businesses manage and schedule interactive meetings with teams across multiple locations. Users can send invitations via Microsoft Outlook calendar or send IMs with prefilled meeting details.

Key features of TurboMeeting include presentation streaming, screen sharing, two-way audio and video, electronic hand raising, and session recording. The R-HUB server supports up to 11 webcams whilst also allowing participants to display their desktop and applications, and provides desktop control rights to members. The remote support tool facilitates collaboration by enabling knowledge sharing with clients, partners, employees, and additional staff.

TurboMeeting helps teams remotely access any PC or Mac to conduct attended or unattended support even from mobile devices. The application enables organizations to introduce new products, services, and functions and train customers by displaying their own desktop during support sessions.

TurboMeeting enables me to simply access my business PC remotely

Reviewed on 2023/01/12

Pros

When you can't fix the problem alone and need someone to log in and help you remotely, this feature comes in handy. I enjoy how TurboMeeting can be utilised for meetings as well as when our IT staff has to access our computer to assist with any technical concerns. For our IT to connect to our devices, we utilise turbo meeting. It is really simple to navigate and utilise. It enables the host to simply access our system while also allowing the user to monitor the applications they are using.

Cons

So far, I have not had any issues; if I want remote support, the IT person is quite helpful and quickly gains full access to resolve the issue. TurboMeeting may occasionally freeze or cause the controller to lag. In the past, we've experienced difficulties with presenting movies and how they buffer across a private connection to faraway sites.

A reliable and feature rich choice for conferencing and support.

We've had TurboMeeting for several years. I bought it back when alternatives were very expensive. We've used it for years to host webinars and support sessions with our remote employees. Since moving to Office 365 for our Office software needs, most web conferences are handled with Skype for Business, or more recently, Teams. However, the IT department does still use TurboMeeting to assist customers when they need help or to troubleshoot issues a customer reports about our website.

Pros

TurboMeeting is reliable, inexpensive, feature-rich, easy to install and maintain.

Cons

The only problem I've ever had with TurboMeeting is that it can sometimes be problematic talking a remote user through the process of connecting to a meeting, particularly support meetings with inexperienced users. I don't think this is necessarily a problem specific to TurboMeeting though. The user on the other end is generally the real problem.

Reasons for Switching to TurboMeeting

Cost. We did subscribe to Webex for a period under a discount offer, but they were too expensive for our needs, which are limited.

It’s a good product , but it was not the right fit for our organization

Pros

Ability to host the server on premises
Overall cost to license and renew the platform
Integration with Outlook

Cons

Unfortunately because of the on-premises solution hosting. The trade off was that we were limited by our own network capabilities. Also, the learning curve for most of the end users became too high to overcome. Many of our overseas users experienced issues connecting

For It shops and small and medium businesses this product is perfect. Pay once and annual support and it is very budget friendly.

Pros

Quick to bring in and setup. It has been reliable now for almost 6 years and allows IT the flexibility to help support users and users to feel empowered to host their own meetings. User provisioning is simple and security groups can be easily applied.

Cons

It could use better auditing and logging. Such as being able to search and store meeting chat history and user activity like file transfer attempts and maybe a digital loss and content filter. But those are advanced options that may only be needed for regulated industries. Two factor for Admins would be nice. Some times remote admin has hiccups with prompts and reconnecting.

Cost and control and adaptability. Pay once and for boundless purposes. capacity to leave gatherings and backing access open.

Pros

It is speedy and easy to utilize. I've upheld various older and PC uneducated people, and they were able to permit me remote admittance to their frameworks. It is reliable, reasonable, loaded with elements, and easy to introduce and keep up with. I like that TurboMeeting can be utilized for the two gatherings and remote access meetings so our IT faculty can assist us with any specialized issues. Plausibility of on-location server facilitating Absolute expense of permitting and keeping up with the stage Synchronizing with Standpoint

Cons

It could utilize better reviewing and logging. For example, having the option to look at and store meeting visit history and client movement like document move endeavors and perhaps a computerized misfortune and content channel. Yet, those are progressed choices that may just be required for directed ventures. Two variables for Administrators would be great. A few times remote administrators have hiccups with prompts and reconnecting.
