About Paw Partner

Paw Partner is a mobile and web pet facility management system for pet kennels, daycare centers, groomers, and trainers. It offers features such as time tracking, pet data storage, history tracking, vaccination tracking, scheduling, and a social communications timeline. Alongside the cloud software, Paw Partner also offers a free mobile app that allows users to manage and run any part of their business from any location. Customers can also benefit from a free mobile app to make reservations, upload and manage their pet’s data, communicate with staff, and access photos and updates on their pets.

The Paw Partner app can be used by kennel, grooming, and training staff to clock in and out of shifts, view tasks on their task list, update pet information, access job notices, share photos and updates with clients, and more. The dashboard view gives employees and managers an overview of pets checking in, checking out, and currently staying at the facility, assignments, upcoming reservations, and more. Paw Partner also offers a branded social media platform where customers and staff can communicate, share photos, tag posts, and more. Both pets and their owners have custom information cards to provide businesses with a quick view of important information such as animal weight, vaccinations, friends, behavior traits, and owner contact information.

Amazing. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better team to help our business with this transition. The entire Paw Partner staff has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and continuously gone the extra mile for us. The product is easy to use and saves us both time and energy. Paw partner came to our rescue.

Pros

There was a lot that drew us to choose paw partner. Integrating our boarding, grooming, and pool therapy into one system. Automated confirmation messages, client access to check reservations, request new ones, and update their pets info from an app or website. The ease of tracking commissions and fixing commissions if there are any mistakes, the great team Paw Partner has put together to walk us through and continue to help us as we’ve used the product. Friends and foes system to help us place dogs in friendly play groups without a ton of notes in a word doc or cumbersome excel sheets. Helpful color coded tags to help identify any special needs an animal may have. Easily identifiable expired vaccinations and icons for intact pets. Everything about Paw Partner took what we were already doing, or trying to do, streamlined it, made it easier, and less time consuming.

Cons

After working with our previous software for 15 years the switch to someone new took some time but the Paw Partner team always went the extra mile in helping us. Whether it was hopping on Zoom or a call to walk me through setting something up, making video tutorials to help us train our staff, giving us guides and helping us reach out to our clients to inform them of our switch to Paw Partner.

Love Paw Partner

Pros

The price is extremely reasonable for the service you get. I always get a very fast response when I need help or have questions. When we met Savannah at the 2023 trade show, she mentioned Paw Partner having high standards. I loved that because I always say I have high standards when it comes to dog boarding. We saw Savanah again at the 2024 trade show and she helped me with some stuff I needed help with. They are really good with support.

Cons

In NC, we need to have the owners name, address, phone # and emergency contact info readily available for the inspector. Paw Partner’s run cards do not have that info on them. I don’t have internet out in our kennel area, so it’s not like I can keep a computer out there to pull up that info for the inspector. That info doesn’t print well from the location it is on Paw Partner. Anyway, it’s a minor inconvenience that makes extra work for me, but certainly something I can deal with given all the other good things about Paw Partner.

Pros

Support is quick and easy to get. No question or request is a bad one- I am always welcomed.

Cons

Would like to be able to change service name. For example, my local area does not allow for me to use the word 'boarding' due to being home based. Instead, I must list my services as 'overnight pet sitting'. Additionally, I utilize the 'Training' portion for "drop ins" at clients home. Both titles of "Boarding" and "Training" cannot be edited.

Pros

Having our own app where we can interact with clients has been a game changer.
We have not had one person want to go to our previous system after downloading our app.
The customer service is personal and genuine. I appreciate them so much and how they have helped us scale our new business.

Cons

None. Obviously learning a new system takes times but I would do it all over again!

Scheduling Multiple Pets Simultaneously
Implement a feature that allows clients to add multiple pets to a single appointment booking. This could include a dropdown menu for selecting pets from the client profile or an option to "add another pet" before finalizing the booking.

Faster Paw Payments
Consider integrating a payment processor that supports same-day or next-morning payouts without requiring an early close. This might involve switching to a provider with faster settlement times while maintaining accounting-friendly cutoff times.

Groomer's Name on Receipts
Add a field on the receipt template to display the assigned groomer’s name. This can be auto-populated based on the appointment details.

First Available Groomer" Scheduling Option
