Virtual private network software with built-in kill switch

About ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN is a virtual private network software that helps small businesses and individuals access censored or blocked websites, videos, and applications via an AES-256 encrypted server. The VPN split tunneling functionality enables users to route limited and specific device traffic through VPN.

ExpressVPN provides a built-in kill switch, which lets teams automatically block internet traffic when VPN is disconnected. The leak protection functionality hides traffic data, DNS queries, browsing activity, and other connection logs, allowing users to maintain anonymity. It also lets IT service associates conduct speed tests to identify and choose the fastest server locations. The IP address masking module lets individuals change IP address across multiple devices, including PC, mobile, routers, game consoles, and smart TVs.

ExpressVPN comes with browser extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, which enable employees to browse through websites anonymously. Businesses can configure the platform in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, and more. It also lets individuals create and store shortcuts for frequently visited applications and websites.

a great alternative for online professionals if you require a powerful VPN

Pros

there really isn't anything I didn't like, excellent VPN technology and features, a reasonable price and ease of use (great variety of servers in the world)

Cons

the only point of improvement I see is the user interface; it could be even better (but it is very functional)

My ExpressVPN Experience

Reviewed on 2022/06/23

Okay experience.

Okay experience.

Pros

Their desktop and mobile applications are sleek, modern looking and easy to use. Even a first time user who doesn't know what a VPN and is now learning will be able to get it up and running in no time.

Packages are competitive and are decently priced. They even have a 30 day money back guarantee.

Decent selection of locations to choose from.

Company is privacy centric. No collection and retention of user date, which is something I look for when choosing a VPN provider.

Cons

Connections can be sluggish sometimes. Needs more locations.

Protect What You Receive & Send With ExpressVPN

I found ExpressVPN to be a great way to protect my online identity. I am also able to access any website now which was problematic before because of geological cutoffs/restrictions. The most important factor to note though would be that I also never suffer from bandwidth-throttling anymore, all of this happened when I started using ExpressVPN, it is a must-have.

Pros

ExpressVPN works the fastest and is by far the safest way to surf anonymously online. They have worldwide, extensive coverage that consists of over 3000 servers based in 90 locations so connectivity speed is never an issue. Their service also comes with top-notch encryption for enhanced security and they are as trustworthy as they come.

Cons

The price is steeper than I thought. It did take a while to adjust to my system at first, like my Gmail account would not open up because it was reading a different location from what it was used to so it just straight-up denied me access altogether. I figured out a way around that dilemma but other than that, it is a great tool.

Reasons for Switching to ExpressVPN

Everyone is always talking about ExpressVPN as being the best way to surf any website online so I gave their trial version a try to see what the hype was all about. It definitely rose to the occasion.

A great VPN but if you use multiple browsers, that could be a hassle

The overall experience has been very good. Though cost wise there may be cheaper options

The overall experience has been very good. Though cost wise there may be cheaper options

Pros

Most of the servers we found are very fast and the connection is good. It even has a safety feature that prevents connections if the VPN is down (it can be turned off), which is excellent. Many locations can also work on Netflix

Cons

You need to install a windows version. You can't JUST install the browser extension. So if you are like us and use multiple browsers with different locations, that can be done but is a bit of a hassle. Would have preferred if we could just use the extensions.
