About Klaxon

Klaxon is an incident and communication management software that helps businesses inform its people about potential disasters, business continuity events, cyber-attacks, or other emergencies via mass notification system (MNS). Recipients can customise their communication preferences including subscribing to the notifications that they are interested in, and when/how they receive the notifications.

Using Klaxon’s pre-approved templates, organisations can quickly send emergency notifications to multiple recipients via its Smartphone/Table app, Email, SMS, Web browser, audio calls, or third-party applications such as Microsoft Teams and Skype. Administrators can access audit trails of sent or received responses, and export recorded information in Excel format. Its Smartphone/Tablet app can be utilised by recipients to receive, view, and remotely track the status of critical incidents across the organisation.

The web dashboard provides a single place for recipients to view and respond to major incidents, mass notifications and planned maintenance. The software also helps users access details of incidents and select required action items from the provided list.

Klaxon has made communication during any incident type simple, quick and reliable. The team at Klaxon, during the COVID 19 pandemic performed very well under challenging circumstances resulting in the successful deployment of the platform across the company by the original pre-COVID timescales.

Pros

The ease of setup and impact on incident reporting across the company. Main dashboard has provided the end user with a reference point of all incidents across the company. This has been particularly useful for roadside reporting.

The ability to add workaround detail / instruction to incidents and communicate this quickly has vastly improved user experience during incidents.

Multiple communication channels with app based messaging, integration with Teams, SMS and email.

Cons

Service Now integration was not an offering at the time of purchase however this is being developed in collaboration with our requirements.

Pros

Easy to use. Very stable and reliable. Support is great. When you're working with the support team, you feel you are working as one. Feedback is greatly received and appreciated and changes required were implemented.

The tool has taken away all most of the manual intervention and moved us away from sending emails. We use Klaxon for Major Incidents and Planned Maintenance and Klaxon does what is says on the tin.

Klaxon is easy to tailor to your process.

We would never consider moving back to the old process.

Klaxon is easy to use, for administrators and user's of the system.

Cons

There were too many fields at the beginning and we streamlined them, so it was easier to use.

Perfect for the New Normal

Pros

Klaxon is an easy to deploy and robust product that solves a key problem for us - how do we communicate directly to a large group of remote users about issues that affect them.

The customisable notification options allow us to send messages only to users affected directly by IT or other service issues in a way that ensure message are taken notice of.

Cons

There is some configuration of Azure required upfront but the Klaxon team expertly guided us through this process.
