About SubscriptionFlow
SubscriptionFlow is a subscription management software designed to help businesses manage trials, billing, refunds, personalized subscription plans, and more. The platform uses artificial intelligence (AI)-technology to automate recurring tasks, predict custom preferences, mine data to generate leads, and identify sales opportunities.
SubscriptionFlow includes a billing management module, which enables organizations to create and send invoices to customers, manage recurring billing, check payment status, and issue credit or refunds. It offers a host of features including multiple pricing models, offline access, ACH processing, custom workflows, subscription tracking via webhooks, email notifications, user role management, and more. Customers can also use the self-service portal to handle their subscriptions, view outstanding invoices and company details, configure account settings, and edit billing, shipping, and contact details through a dashboard.
SubscriptionFlow lets users view built-in reports, modify dashboards and gain insights into churn rate, revenue, usage trends, subscriber lifecycle, renewal rate, and customer lifetime value (CLV) via KPIs and analytics. It also supports integration with various payment gateways and third-party applications such as Stripe, Authorize.net, PayPal, Xero, QuickBooks, SugarCRM, and Mailchimp.

When I demo'd the product they said they could do everything I needed. With time it became obvious that they could not deliver. We invested
hundreds of hours trying to get the solution to work. In the end we admitted defeat and went to Maxio. So a really awful experience overall.
Pros
The api that linked HubSpot to SubscriptionFlow and then SubscriptionFlow to Quickbooks online (QBO) was very good. We could change customer data in HubSpot and this would automatically flow to SubscriptionFlow to QBO
Cons
We could not get the system to work satisfactorily for our billing profile. We bill quarterly in advance and we issue the invoice on the 1st of the month proceeding the billing period. SF just did not have the flexibility to do this. We ended up manually importing invoices into QBO at the end of every billing run as we could not get SF to work. The team at SF was always promising they would issue a fix but when it came it was half baked and not fit for purpose.
It was not possible to raise a credit note and assign it to a billing period. Credit notes could not be synced to QBO.
We also identified a ton of bugs that took ages to be fixed. We move to a premium support package because we were desperate to get our billing issues fixed. This promised a response within 1 hour. Often it would be 4 days plus before getting an answer.
Reasons for Choosing SubscriptionFlow
Needed automation. We were producing invoices using excel and that was prone to error and laboriousSwitched From

We have a complex membership plan and the SF development team went far and beyond to accommodate all our integration and technical requirements.
Cons
UI/UX of the dashboard doesn't seem so intuitive but working just fine to filter search. Needs more improvement.

I am so happy with our onboarding process. It's really above and beyond.
Pros
I like how customizable it is. We've been working with SF on getting our quarterly print magazine subscriptions uploaded and flowing smoothly. New customers can order everything easily.
Cons
Right now our quarterly timetable seems to be something SF hasn't dealt with when it comes to renewals. But I can't say enough good things about their willingness to work through all our custom issues.
