PayPal Checkout is an online checkout solution that can be integrated with eCommerce marketplaces and business websites to allow customers to use a range of payment methods on websites, in-app, or on mobile. The tool aims to increase conversions and reduce cart abandonment by streamlining checkout.
PayPal Checkout's Smart Payment Buttons allow users to embed multiple payment options in their site, including PayPal, PayPal Credit, and Venmo. Any payments made through Venmo can be shared on the customer's Venmo activity feed, providing an opportunity to increase brand awareness. The PayPal Smart Button's One Touch functionality allows customers to make payments without needing to log into their account.
Aiming to reduce cart abandonment, PayPal sends emails to customers with a Store Cash offer, which is automatically applied to the recovered transaction. Users can control their Store Cash campaigns, including budgets and dollar amounts per customer, and track the number of redeemed offered through the dashboard.

For the specific needs most would need, like sellers, professional shoppers, etc. to name a few of the targeted users, PayPal commerce platform is a smart & inexpensive requirement most would appreciate.
Pros
The numerous extras/add-ons & the ease of use needed to use them are a few reasons/selling points to keep in mind if considering connecting with the PayPal commerce platform.
Cons
Like most PayPal branches, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. At best, I'll say they at least answer when contacted at least 2x. At worst, it takes a minimum of 2x to be answered & even when you finally do get a response it's only after waiting a crazy amount of time, typically whatever issue you need help with is either resolved on its own or it's status changed from bad to extremely terrible regardless.

Pros
PayPal Commerce Platform provides all the payment processing, invoicing, and shipment management functions I need to run my small business.
Cons
The UI is a little bit frustrating. It’s hard to see all your information in one place. Each function feels siloed off from the others. The ShipStation integration is particularly awkward.
