About SmartMarina+
SmartMarina+, built on Salesforce, is a cloud-based software that helps dockyards and marinas manage boat activities and automate marketing and customer service operations. Features include opportunity tracking, remote access, analytics, lead tracking, data backup, and chatbots.
The AI-enabled application includes an interactive map, which allows supervisors to view and track the location of slip inventory, storage area, yard space, contractors, and parking through colored indicators. Marinas can optimize slip usage and monitor the arrival and departure times of boats in real-time. SmartMarina+ also offers a booking platform that captains can use to view reserved schedules on the calendar, match slips with each vessel, and track the occupancy status to organize incoming vessels at available units.
The community feature lets clients access vessel details, reservations, and service requests via a secured portal. Team members can also use SmartMarina+ to handle accounts receivable using recurring payment functionality as well as authorize contracts or documents by collecting digital signatures.

We solved the basic needs of our business to gather information to be able to forecast the immediate future revenues (e.g., 2 to 5 months) and be able to make the necessary business adjustments (e.g., new offerings, discounts, or institute new programs) to meet or exceed our Plan/Budget revenue.
On top of the above we were able to capture enough valuable information allowing us to measure our unique set of KPI's.
Reporting on the system is also another plus. Reporting design and capabilities are well above any other top systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft.

Cons
Software is great, the thing we like the least is the "software as a service" environment it sits on (e.g., Sales Force). The "software as a service" environment creates dependency from Sales Force with very little control of license fee increases.

This software is awesome. We decided to purchase Smartmarina to help organize the rent payments for our docks and campgrounds. It has offered that and beyond. I can look at customized reports at the touch of a button. The Smartmarina team of [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] knocked it out of the park. Very patient and accommodating. I really can't say enough about the company, employees and the product. This will be a long lasting relationship for my marina.
Pros
I love how much detail you can pull out of this site. There are endless reports and functions that can be used to fit what are important to you and your business. It feels like the possibilities are endless.
Cons
None so far. I've never met a software company that is so willing to help and customize a product for their customers to the extent Smartmarina is. I felt as I was truly working with software developers the whole time to build the exact software program I needed. Hard to name a con for a company willing to customize everything for your needs.
