Dropbox Paper
About Dropbox Paper
Dropbox Paper is a cloud-based collaborative workspace that lets teams organize documents, assign tasks, create to-do lists, and collaborate in real time. The platform is fully integrated with Dropbox, allowing users to include previews any of their stored files within the documents they create. Dropbox Paper can be used as an online task management software to manage projects and enable team collaboration.
With Dropbox Paper, users can collaboratively create documents from a variety of templates for a range of use cases. Templates designed to meet the needs of creative, marketing, product, HR, sales, IT, education, and other teams include solutions for brainstorming, creative briefs, product specifications, employee onboarding, account plans, project plans, wikis and knowledge bases, user research reports, brand guidelines, bug trackers, content calendars, and more.
Dropbox Paper provides tasks management tools, allowing users to mention each other, assign tasks, and manage due dates for to-dos. Feedback can be left directly on documents through annotations and comments, and attributions keep everyone informed of who added what. Users can add multimedia elements to their documents in the form of YouTube links, Google Maps, GIFs, Pinterest boards, SoundCloud audio, and other link types. Dropbox Paper also supports embedded previews of Sketch and Invision files, and can convert documents into presentations.

I work on an IT team, and I've started using Dropbox Paper's to-do list features to create my information technology plans. However, I am hoping it had a daily calendar alternative! Overall, it's a valuable method for managing projects when working with others.
Pros
I believe Dropbox Paper is a relatively new feature. It has a fantastic general layout that allows you to create tables, describe the text, create a to-do list, tag people, and create a timeline. You may emphasize text or leave a note directly in the paper, making it simple to keep track of progress and make decisions.
Cons
I hope the to-do list could place the dates in sequential sequence and attach them to the calendar automatically. The choice is currently available, but it is entirely manual. Plus, for color coding, I need more highlight color choices so it i can distinguished between the notes or the editing that has added to the document.

as a new manager in this company (school) I have introduced Dropbox to improve the way all work processes and to track all the different operations tasks and projects. so it solved so many problems related to managing and tracking projects and it yielded good results
Pros
Dropbox has been round for quite sometime. it has many advantages:Apps available for practically every operating systemFlexible array of collaborative toolsSolid offerings for premium subscribersDigital signatures enabledSuperb app integrationAutomatic file backup and synchronizationOffline functionalityit is still one of the best apps out there
Cons
however it needs some improvementsPoor storage limits for free usersComparatively expensive paid subscriptionsSecurity weaknessesLimited search functionif these elements were improved, the app will be the best in the market
Reasons for Switching to Dropbox Paper
the choice was based on my previous experience. I previously used Dropbox as a student and as a trainee. so I had some experience with the software so the idea and workings of the software were easy. therefore it was my best choice.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Not so good, they should maybe try and improve the software to be like GDocs perhaps, but offer other features that GDocs currently does not have.
Pros
None so far, it was already the software being used by my company when I first started working with them. Basically I had no choice in the matter and had to use it for about 2 years before we switched to GDocs.
Cons
For me, it was a bit challenging to use the software tbh. I tried to use it for 6 months, but I prefer the layout and features of Google Docs. Good thing our company decided to stop using it and we switched right away.

Paper is, for my team, the ideal replacement for hardcopy notes and simple assignments. Too many alternatives try doing too much in a small window of use. Dropbox Paper keeps you connected, on the same page, and mobile when need be.
Pros
The most powerful feature for us (working in software) has been the simplistic yet powerful markup and shortcuts system. The formatting is so easy to use but also isn't restricted to one method, allowing more mouse-centric or keyboard-oriented users flexability.
Cons
I wouldn't mind seeing a dedicated desktop application in addition to the browser interface. Even if it was just a PWA, it would keep users from being so married to more tabs in their web browser.

Great tool for writing and sharing
Reviewed on 2020/04/29
I love this tool. I write practically all my text with it.
I love this tool. I write practically all my text with it.
Pros
Paper is a incredibly well polished cloud based wysiwyg markdown editor and along with Medium has set the standard for these. It includes some handy features like tables and to-do lists
It comes directly with your Dropbox account. It also has very easy sharing. But above all its minimalistic interface helps you focus on writing and removes most distractions.
Cons
Since it is markdown based, it lacks but the most basic formatting options. So if you want more visual adjustments or advanced word processing features, you won't find them in paper
