Shogun is the Bomb - Great Tool - Big Time Saver

I am extremely happy I chose this to help with our Shopify store pages.

Pros

Easy to design, modify and publish pages. Fast technical support. Great documentation.

Cons

I can't think of any downside issues to using Shogun. In my experience it has been a breeze to learn and use.

Snippets and store sync are fully utilized. Sections and elements are fully customizable and you can even add raw HTML and Javascript if needed.

Its hard to grab elements sometimes if they are stacked without spacing. I would also love if we can have a features toggle on shogun itself se we can declutter the UI if we are not using them (ex. A/B testing) and potentially make the backend load even faster.

Pros

The ability to sync pages between two shopify stores. No need to recreate the same design and snippets between stores.

Cons

With the addition of features on shogun the backend feels slow sometimes and you need to clear cache or relogin to refresh shogun tokens. Overall it is intuitive and easy to use especially with the addition of "Show Drop zones" toggle and Layout view.

Great customer service

Pleasant, customer service was always very helpful if I had questions about little things.

Pros

The customer service is exceptional when you need it and it’s pretty easy to use as a non-designee/engineer.

Cons

I didn’t like the monthly payment cost. When I started it was only $28 a month but that plan got phased out and I was paying $78 a month.

I've been using Shogun since it's early days, and for nearly the entirety of that time, Andre has been my point of contact for the platform. He's quick to reply and if he doesn't have the answer he will connect me with a colleague or team to help!

For full disclosure our workplace is grandfathered in with a cheaper plan. Many of the new features Shogun offers are already handled by systems more integral to our business, so there's not much sense in upsetting that balance.

Pros

With Shogun, you can make some nice landing pages for products and services without coding knowledge, though you'll be limited by that factor as well.

Cons

There are only a few cons to this service - and I can only speak to my experience with the app (read our overall experience for more info) which will be different from anyone signing up nowadays. The first one is price, especially if you are already running a robust system for marketing and metrics and don't require all the extra bells and whistles Shogun offers. The second is that there is no menu memory in the page editor - if I switch between elements I'm editing, the menu brings me back to it's top instead of remembering that I was looking at a lower part of the menu. Smaller gripe, but definitely slows down productivity.

I've used Shogun for 4 years and have always had a great experience.

Pros

Easy to use. Great for building web pages and blogs quickly. Always improving and bringing out new features. The support team are always helpful, friendly and speedy with replies and fix's.
