About Guard1
Guard1 is physical security software designed to help businesses in corrections, healthcare, and hospitality industries automate facility security operations and monitor guard tours. It enables administrators to track field workers’ patrolling progress and real-time statuses such as completed, in progress, or missed checkpoints on a unified platform.
Patrolling officers can use the application to manually select tour requests, monitor live locations through GPS tracking and QR codes, and add additional comments for reference. Features of Guard1 include data storage management, activity logs, real-time alerts, SSL encryption, data backup, RFID scanning, and more. The platform also allows organizations to handle well-being checks, track tasks, monitor employee duress, and streamline zone-based tracking of individuals and assets.
Guard1 facilitates integration with various jail offender and records management systems (RMS) such as JailTracker, Justice Solutions, NetData, ODIS, Offender360, and more. It lets administrators maintain a history of jail inmates including cell checks, suicide watches, meals, medication, and movement within the facility for recreation, showers, or classes.

My experience with Guard 1 has always been excellent. Everyone with the company from sales to technical support have always been friendly and helpful.
Pros
Easy to program the software to conform to needs. Very stable system. Little to no down time.
Cons
None to speak of. We have always been satisfied with the product.

Our department has been using guard1 system for approx. 10 + years. In those years we have not had any issues with the system or the pipes. We even lost a pipe in the snow for approx. 3 months. We eventually found the pipe in the spring and its still working today.
Pros
its easy to understand and with the help of our county IT person he set it up in minutes and has been running since with very little issues.
Cons
There is nothing I don't like about this product/software

The technical support team are always ready to solve issues with the Pipe, although there has been very few issues with the pipe. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been very helpful and calls me to make sure the Pipe is working right. We have been using the Pipe for over 3 years and have had only one problem that needed to be sent in. The turn around time was very short.
Pros
The Guard 1 is easy to use and reliable. The tamper proof buttons are the way to go.
Cons
For our jail the Guard 1 performs so well, I have not found any cons .

Guard1 is durable, easy to use, easy to train. The software is very manageable and user friendly.
Cons
Excel printouts could be refined.
