Aerospike

About Aerospike
Aerospike is a cloud-based and on-premise NoSQL database platform designed to help enterprises in eCommerce, retail, online gaming, telecommunications, and advertising sectors streamline multi-site clustering, cross datacenter replication, and load balancing, among other processes on a unified platform. It provides various security capabilities such as encryption, authentication, role-based access permissions, and whitelisting for organizations to protect data.
Aerospike's cluster management system automatically detects nodes entering and leaving the cluster and re-replicates data as nodes are added or removed to maintain availability during hardware failures. The cross datacenter replication (XDR) functionality replicates and synchronizes data across multiple geographic locations. Enterprises can also configure and define audit trails to log attempted database operations, security violations, authentications, user administration processes, and more.
Aerospike uses a C programming language to optimize data paths, memory accesses, and CPU caches and ensures consensus across nodes on cluster membership in cases of network faults, node arrival or departure, hardware or software updates, and scheduled capacity increments.

The overall experience with Aerospike is highly positive. In particular database response times are short enough for real time applications.
Pros
The database structure made of namespaces-sets-bins allows to store many different data for different purposes. The Spark connector is helping me linking Aerospike to our existing computation platforms.
Cons
There is no clear documentation (so far) about all the error code you can encounter while working with Aerospike

The fastest persistent key / value store out there
Reviewed on 2018/09/05
Pros
We were looking for speed and scalability, and with Aerospike we got exactly that. It's simple enough to manage, has some additional monitoring tooling.
To avoid nasty surprising when buying this software - make sure you read the docs thoroughly, at least twice.
Cons
It's quite expensive.
You have to use Aerospike's client libraries, which don't always offer compatibility with all the Aerospike features (mostly Ruby).
Remote training sessions are very basic, you'll better off reading the documentation and asking support specific questions if anything's unclear.
